May 7th. It is the same day as our dating anniversary, and it fell on a Saturday in 2011. Another deciding factor was that the wedding didn't take place during Football season.

June 16th.
I was originally hoping for a date later in the summer but most of the reception venues wouldn't do late summer weddings. And places booked up FAST so we were somewhat limited (we booked it in July of the year before). Worked out in our favor because we had a beach wedding and the weather was absolutely perfect.
We wanted to get married in August the venue we wanted had 3 days available - all Fridays. This one was at the beginning of the month which was ideal given the school schedules of our neices and nephews.

We wanted to give ourselves some time after we graduated grad school in May, in case I got overwhelmed with planning and school. His parents usually travel in July. My dad hunts in September, so that left us August.
I originally wanted a late Sept wedding in a perfect world because it's my favorite time of year, but when it came to look at dates, we realized starting with my fav holiday (Halloween), H's birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, my birthday, Oct-Jan was stacked with stuff but other than some birthdays, the rest of the year was kind of empty, with May-June being the emptiest. So we went with June, end of for better weather, looked at rain statistics for Seattle, and 27 is my favorite number.

This is how we are: Halloween, James's birthday Nov 4, my birthday Nov 17, thanksgiving, Christmas, new years, my mom's birthday Jan 16, my dad's birthday Jan 19. I wish we would have considered this in advance.
Ours was 10/23/04
I wanted a fall wedding, but didn't want to get married on Halloween weekend. So, we chose the weekend right before.
May 14, 2005...My g-ma's birthday is the 13th and so I knew a lot of the out of towner relatives are usually here for her anyways, so kill two birds with one stone. And I love spring

July 17th. H insisted on an outdoor wedding, so I was trying to pick a date that traditionally doesn't involve rain. Also, 7-17 is pretty easy to remember so there are no excuses for forgetting our anniversary.

We got married 2/27. I always wanted a winter wedding and I wanted to keep the date away from Christmas and Valentines Day. March doesn't feel so wintery so we settled on that date. Poor DH has my birthday, Valentines Day and wedding that month, but at least he only knows there is one month worth of gifts to remember!
We chose it for many reasons. We were engaged the october right before so it gave me enough time to put something together. We wanted to get married before DH deployed so it gave us enough time to get name changes on everything, me added to all his stuff and get all my clearance done with the military. We also didn't want to do it right in the middle of all the holidays.
It was partially what worked with our venue, partially because we didn't want a long engagement. I would have preferred a winter wedding, but we got engaged over the holidays and I didn't want to wait a year plus to get married.
7/24/12, we had to have a long engagement for people who were traveling from abroad, we wanted outdoors in the summer, and with my endometriosis it was a date most likely free from cramps!

July 29th. It was one of the few dates available for our venue. When we were renting stuff we were told it is one of the driest days in history according to the Farmer's Almanac. We got married outside so we were happy to hear that! As it turns out I know several people who got married on that same day. Princess Diana and Charles got married on that day too. Don't worry, I don't know them!
I wanted a summer wedding and my brother was getting married in June. I thought labor day weekend would be a good weekend. Too bad I was a weekend ahead. We kept the 29th though because we got engaged on 11/29 and my birthday is 12/29. As H says "Now I just need to remember which month is what."
9/17. I wanted a fall wedding with the possibility still for some sun. (September in Michigan is fall). We didn't go with 9/10 because it was 9/10/11 and everyone wanted that date so our choices in vendors would be extremely limited, and 9/24 didn't work for family. We also didn't want to do labor day, so 9/17 it is! Just a little over a year and a week since we got married - it's flown by!
