DH has Harry Potter on the other day and I couldn't believe how bad it was. Maybe you have to watch from the beginning, but it's weird. I'm also team how is it still so popular?
Apparently it's also Rex Manning day from the movie Empire Records. I confess that as a 90s girl I didn't watch it until 2 years ago, and didn't like it despite having almost every awesome 90s teen actor. Maybe I watched it wrong?

I also confess a big part of why I got my belly button pierced (years later) was because of Alicia Silverstone in the Aerosmith video I think I thought of that because of Liv Tyler in Empire Records. I don't know what it is about her but I don't like her.

Omg SAME about the navel piercing. When I got mine in 1996, nobody around here had them yet and I thought I was SO cool.
I cringe anytime someone posts about Harry Potter these days. JKR is such a garbage human.
She is such a piece of shit! And she simply could have fucked off with her billions of dollars and remained beloved and adored, but no. She has to constantly vocalize her rage and hatred for people she’s never met and who have no bearing on her wealthy, powerful life. I’ll never understand it.

My hotel room number from earlier this week was 5309. I sang that Jenny song every time we rolled up on the door. My son thought I was nuts. Lol
We are staying at Caribbean Beach at Disney world this summer and I’ve already warned my family that I’ll be singing Kokomo constantly (the “villages” are Aruba and Jamaica among others)
I never made rice until I was 23 and married to H who loves rice. The first time I made it on the stove top I was 36 (H has made sure we always have a rice cooker). My mom doesn't like rice so when I was growing up every meal that would have rice had pasta instead.

My SIL gives us a BBW soap for every holiday. I wonder if she thinks we can’t afford it. LOL, we can, I just prefer my cute soap dispensers and bulk soap.

I have a good confession after reading these…I really don’t understand fandom. Like of course I have favorite movie franchises, tv series and authors. But I’m just not super into anything that I want all the merch, etc. I feel kind of sad I don’t get this experience/

My SIL also gives me BBW stuff at Christmas too, but she knows I can afford it. LOL! She just really likes it for herself, so she wants to spread the love. She even got my H (her brother) some of the men's body wash this last year.
Slightly off topic. My mother LOVED On Eagle's Wings. Except she was old school Philly and pronounced Eagle Igle (with a short i). She also could NOT sing. She would almost scream the song and try to out sing the choir or cantor. "And he will raise him up on IIIIIIIIIGGGGLLLLEEE'S wings..." The priest had a short conversation with her about that one day after church. I think I was about 10. Congregants should sing with joy but not so loudly as to drown out everyone else.
My aunt and uncle sang the song at her funeral. It was the one thing she'd requested.
I was raised Catholic. I am agnostic now and hate all organized religion, etc. Anyway, Michael Joncas who wrote Eagles Wings was the priest at the church we went to from birth to about age 10 or 11. My parents had him over for dinner one time and our dog peed on him, so that was fun.
