Friday - Drove. Walked about 100 meters from the hotel to the restaurant for dinner and back. Drank a milkshake.
Saturday-Supported my cycling teammates and clubmates at a Gran Fondo, which is a race but also a charity ride. Most people do it for fun/personal challenge. The fastest people race and get prizes. I walked around the expo a bunch but mostly sat in a chair taking a nap and/or taking pictures of my friends as the finished/reading a book. I did get to take photos of 2 of my teammates on the podium!
Sunday-Slept in, watered the new bushes in the front yard.
BQ: Do you like ice cream? What is your favorite flavor? If you don't eat dairy, so you like sherbert/sorbet/vegan ice cream?
Of course I do! I love it in all forms-"hard" ice cream, soft serve, milkshake, Sundae. My absolute favorite flavor is Morellis (local Atlanta ice cream place) salted caramel. I also like good old vanilla and chocolate. Sometimes cookies and cream. Did I mention I love ice cream?
Friday: walking and strength training Saturday: 6 mile run (and I am still alive!) My husband biked while i ran, so it was something fun to do together. Sunday: massage and leisurely walk with the dog.
Next weekend I'm supposed to run a 5k race, but there are no good ones in the city. They are all in the burbs, and traffic will be a nightmare. So just going to do my own thing.
BQ: I cannot have ice cream in my house. All concept of moderation goes out the window. Gallon? Yes, that's *a* serving. My favorites: hard - salted carmel, soft - dairy queen vanilla, milkshake - chocolate banana. But really, I'll eat anything put in front of me. Excellent question.
Fri - nothing, I didn’t even put a bra on all day, and worked until midnight “for fun,” as I got really into an issue and decided to just crank all the way through it. Sat - did some tree planting with my little one and a lot of general running around Sun - ran a half. My friend and I wound up doing the whole thing together, which made it so much better. I barely ran in April even 😬, so it was not fast, but it is done!
I also love ice cream and always come back to cookies and cream.
Friday: surfing Saturday: red eye home, the guy next to me was snoring like a fucking maniac before we even lifted off, for all 4 hours. Hell. Sunday: 8 mile run
BQ: yes to ice cream. Hagen daaz and Tilamook are both favorite brands
