Regional: Perry’s (Mint Ting a Ling) and Wegmans (LOVE their chocolate chip) Non-Regional: Friendly’s (chocolate almond and chocolate chip) ETA: chocolate chip is my favorite flavor
I grew up with Turkey Hill ice cream and loved them for their seasonal and large variety of flavors.
Regionally here, Oberweiss is a splurge ice cream.
Oberweiss!
25 years ago I was dating a guy who had moved here from Chicago. Before we broke up, he moved back and I visited him. I forgot about Oberweiss Dairy until your post. I had a cow stuffie from them for the longest time.
This thread inspired me. I made a special trip to Fred Meyer and bought three containers of Umpqua: chocolate brownie thunder, peanut butter and chocolate, and butter toffee crunch.
Costco vanilla is the best vanilla. That shit is dense and delicious. The overrun in a lot of store bought ice cream is insane (meaning it has a lot of air whipped into it, which makes it light and fluffy but then it melts fast and you’re basically buying air).
I had never tried Tillamook but got some tonight per this thread and it was very good. My daughter said she thought it wasn’t quite as good as Turkey Hill though.

I'm pretty sure Wegmans is made by Perry's!
I can only eat lactose free and the Wegmans brand is surprisingly good.

This.
Outside of vanilla, we like Tillamook and Turkey Hill. If you live in an area where Blue Bell is sold (we don't), then they rank up there with Tillamook.
