MasterChef - United Tastes of America Crime Scene Kitchen The Bear And Just Like That ... now that i'm a mom to a teen, i find Charlotte so much more relatable
I apologize to the community for snickering and I'm going to have a word with myself.
David found that show in my "currently watching" queue and was all "omg, mom, what are you watching? I can't believe you watch that!", pointing and laughing at me like I'd been "caught". I said "The D stand for divorce, David. What'd you think it stood for??" He was all "ummmm, uh, nothing, never mind" lol
The thumbnail is this guy's naked chest with a woman grabbing it. There's definitely a play on the title there! lol
Here are shows I've watched recently: Severance (probably the best show I've ever seen--took a minute to get into it, though) The Bear Season 2 Only Murders in the Building (I thought this was just ok--I thought I would love Selena, but she's monotone the entire time) Yellowjackets Shrinking Unorthodox Fleishman is in Trouble Silo Survival of the Thickest (Michelle Buteau's series; I love her, so I really like this show) I'm finally watching season 2 of Somebody Somewhere.
I tried to watch this because it was so highly recommended on here and I could not get through even one episode. Like, I do not understand what it is about. Should I try again?
Did you like Silo? That is on my list, too. I loved Shrinking. Another AppleTv show I really loved was "the big door prize."
The Bear And Just Like That RuPaul's Drag Race (there are a bunch of seasons on Hulu, but not all) Marvelous Mrs Maisel
Stuff on my list to start: Ted Lasso The End of Us White Lotus Only Murders in the Building Wednesday Yellowjackets Daisy Jones and the Six The Americans What We Do in the Shadows The Wonder Years (new version) The Morning Show The Great

YES!!!! It’s so good. You have to watch episode 2 for it to make sense and then it just gets better and better.
Recently finished on Apple TV: Shrinking (smart, looking forward to another season) Platonic (started strong, meh ending) Silo. It was okay, definitely not top-notch writing or directing, but the story got better toward the end. I wouldn't highly recommend it as the two stars I wanted to see hardly get any screen time.
Wow, Apple squeezed a lot of TV watching out of me when I only got it to watch Ted Lasso!
Season Six of the Great American Baking Show on Roku. Paul and Prue are the judges! I didn't even know about the other seasons, but I loved this one.
I am really looking forward to the new seasons of Minx (Starz), Only Murders in the Building (Hulu), and Somebody, Somewhere (HBO), which I know has been out for a while so that's what I'm watching next.
ETA: oh yeah, I'm watching Grown-ish, too, with my older kid.
Reservation Dogs on Hulu What We Do in the Shadows on Hulu
MH and I are very excited for both of these shows to return this week! We just started the last season of Hunters but will likely start one of those next. Or when we want something a little lighter than Nazi hunting.
For my solo tv watching, I just finished the first season of Vikings Valhalla. I'm trying to decide whether to continue that or watch the new Witcher season.

shauni27, I think I got hooked when I got to see Mark's outside personality. I can't remember if they show that in episode 1 or not. It is truly a fantastic series, so I would watch at least 2 of the episodes and if you're still not feeling it, move on.
I think Silo is fantastic, as well. My only gripe with the show is that Common is in it, and he is a terrible actor. Everyone else is fantastic.
I'll put The Big Door Prize on my list! Thanks for the rec!
Silo is a pretty good adaptation of the Hugh Howey books, with a little bit extra thrown in, and a lot of the boring stuff thrown out.
We watched that, the last season of Ted Lasso, and the last season of Servant while taking advantage of our latest free 2 months. If the morning show is coming back, we might re-up, because my H just got an offer for another free month, and I'd like to watch Hijack. (We already watch Severance last year when we got our free months from buying phones.)
Currently watching Station Eleven (HBO), Beef (Netflix), The Great North (cable, but probably also Hulu), Praise Petey (Hulu), Burn Notice (rewatch x5, Hulu), Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (Paramount+, we don't subscribe so we watch at a friend's house).
Just finished fairly recently The Peripheral (Prime), Based on a True Story (Peacock), Kaleidoscope (Netflix), Disenchantment (Netflix), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Prime), Black Mirror (Netflix).
We've got a lot of stuff in our to watch list too. We kind of pick what to watch next based on length of show, and genre. Like, we waited to watch Station Eleven after finishing Silo and then The Peripheral, because we don't want to watch all sci-fi/apocalypse shows at the same time. And we always have a slot for a 20-30 minute comedy/cartoon.

While common is not the greatest actor (lol) I love him times a million so he always gets a pass from me. Was also really nice IRL when I met him at a show.
In July all I watched was the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes on Peacock. (Not surprising, eh?) I'm really behind on all my tv.
I'm very excited to watch the Mark Cavendish documentary that came out yesterday on Netflix. He's one of my favorites and I was absolutely crushed when he crashed.
I really hope they filmed another season Tour de France Unchained this year. It was amazing and even sucked in some of our non-cycling friends and got them to watch the Tour this year.
I really want to like The Bear but it’s too chaotic!
I am deep into Season 2 of The Bear (binge watching it for the last two days). There were a couple of episodes that were just too chaotic for me (Feast of Five Fishes), but it's really an excellent show! Acting is really just top notch. Though I am still trying to figure out how it qualifies as a "comedy" on Hulu. There's a couple of funny parts but it's more drama to me.
