I don't think we've done one of these in a while.
I'm in a bit of a TV slump, more so when DH is working. I tried "American Housewife" (ABC/Hulu) last night, and it's cute, but there are some pretty cringey moments (fat shaming), that aren't OK even if it's in a mainly white, mainly rich state. So with that being said, what are you watching, re-watching etc.? Any recommendations?
I have Cable (but no more Peacock) Hulu Netflix Paramount + Amazon Prime
I've been watching: Abbot Elementary Home Economics (both ABC/Hulu) Call Me Kat (Fox/Hulu) I may try Cruel Summer (Freeform/Hulu) again even thought the first season was awful. Married At First Sight Farmer Wants a Wife A little 90 Day Fiance but not as much anymore I forgot I was re-watching One Tree Hill (Hulu) and need to go back at some point. Lincoln Lawyer (Netflix) The Secrets of Playboy (cable) (need to finish) Kevin Can F*ck himself (AMC +) (need to finish) The Mermaid people documentary (Netflix) Gods Favorite Idiot (Netflix)
I like a lot of murder shows documentaries, Lifetime movies about the case and so on. I want to watch The Secrets of Miss America (cable)
I'm so all over the place I guess I ask you just post whatever you watch and hopefully I'll find something I like. Thank you!
We just finished The Bear. At first it was way too chaotic for me and it took a minute to forget Lipp and see Carmy but ahhhhhh it’s the best show we’ve watched in a very long time. The characters are so well-drawn and acted, the story is so relatable, and there’s nothing gratuitous or over the top. And the music is TOP NOTCH. It’s so, so good.
Five Star Chef The Big D Claim To Fame Project Runway The Mermaid People we finished weeks ago. I really enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
I feel like we don't have any great shows we're watching at the moment. I need to do a rewatch of some good older shows because this strike is going to be tough on me!
We just started The Bear Catching up on the last few seasons of Project Runway Claim to Fame My summer guilty pleasure, Big Brother just started Solo, I am rewatching Atypical
Plugging through the last season of Manifest on netflix. It has jumped the shark.
Jack Ryan Season 3 The Diplomat
OMG we tried to finish Manifest and just couldn't. The show was always pretty bad, but WOW the final season is terrible. If you finish it, will you tell me what happens?
Just started The Diplomat (Netflix) - on episode 2 and it is decent so far. Also started the Bear (Hulu) - should be fast since it is only like 8 x30 min eps.
On my list: Jack Ryan The Citadel (Prime) - but I heard it might be canceled so hopefully it doesn't end on a cliffhanger
We've (I say this lightly bc I just happen to be next to my husband while he watches) been watching Twisted Metal. It's so bizarre that I cannot tell if it is good.

My H also loves this show. It's...not for me, lol. He likes the most bizarre shit.

My husband will watch any and everything. One second we were watching Jack Ryan and I looked up and was like, wait omg what is this?! LOL.

Sometimes I just look at him like "what's wrong with you?" Example, sooo many scenes from The Boys, lol.
The amount of times I double-take while walking through the room at whatever he has on TV cannot be normal. I remember he went through a phase at the beginning of the pandemic when he was watching weird movies about viruses spreading uncontrollably-- I couldn't even sit in the room! Why are men. LOL.

We finished S2 of The Bear. I enjoyed it a lot but it was very chaotic in places, which makes sense in the setting. Last season of Jack Ryan (meh) Last season of Manifest (indeed very bad but we had to finish it)
Poker face (Peacock) - This was excellent! I saw on the Reelgood app that new episodes are coming out soon Outlander (Starz, I got a $0.99 a month subscription on Prime day) - I'm getting a bit sick of it but we will keep watching
I often watch something on my own in the afternoon after work, before dinner. I love PBS Masterpiece so I finished the last season of Endeavour recently and All creatures great and small
Things coming up, new seasons of: Only murders in the building Good omens (Prime)
Plugging through the last season of Manifest on netflix. It has jumped the shark.
Jack Ryan Season 3 The Diplomat

The acting is so, so bad!! I watched some of it and then just had to give up. litskispeciality I watched last season of Cruel Summer and it was bad. SO, SO BAD, yet I told H I had put the time in and I was finishing the damn show and finding out what happened. I don't know if I can bring myself to watch this season!
Lately I've watched and enjoyed:
Glamorous (with Kim Catrall) Beef AJLT - I thought the last episode they finally started getting it right The Summer I Turned Pretty - bc I'm a sucker for stuff about teen angst Never Have I Ever Ted Lasso
Coming up/want to watch: Only Murders In The Building season 3 The Morning Show season 3 The latest Jack Ryan season Sex Education - I've been told I need to watch it The Bear

starburst604, I have the same thoughts about Cruel Summer season 2. I loved the chatter we had on here about S1, but it felt like you had to have a degree from MIT to follow the plot, and darn it was so, so bad at the end. I imagine S2 is even worse.
I forgot I started another Freeform/Hulu show Tell Me Lies (?) that I never finished because it's weird and bad. Looks like Hulu might have dropped it too? Oh well.
I didn't know Only Murders is coming back with season 3. DH likes it more than me, but I'll give it a chance as it's a good show
I forgot about Summer I Turned Pretty (Amazon Prime). I want to read the book first, but might just watch the show since they change everything anyway. I need to watch the second and third To All the Boys movies (Netflix), and maybe Xoxo Kitty (Netflix), but I'm not in a rush on that one.
Oh and I started the Based on a True Story show (Peacock), but of course they cut the free subscription before I finished so now I have to wait for a free preview.
I want to watch season 2 of Yellow Jackets, but I have to wait for a free preview or the DVD's to come to the library.
I started season 2 of The Bear, but then people keep talking about eps 6&7 in a way that I think might be triggering for me, but I haven't figured out at all what happens, and I don't want to google because of spoilers.
I'd take a pm regarding vague trigger warnings if someone was willing to do that for me.

Here are shows I've watched recently: Severance (probably the best show I've ever seen--took a minute to get into it, though) The Bear Season 2 Only Murders in the Building (I thought this was just ok--I thought I would love Selena, but she's monotone the entire time) Yellowjackets Shrinking Unorthodox Fleishman is in Trouble Silo Survival of the Thickest (Michelle Buteau's series; I love her, so I really like this show) I'm finally watching season 2 of Somebody Somewhere.

I didn't know there was a Season 3 of the Morning Show! Thanks!
I just started this and it's my new fun show to watch that I somehow missed the 1st time around as well. I'm glad there's so much of it and I'm in no rush to hurry up and watch it before people spoil it for me when the new episode comes out like so many other shows.
Kinda in a similar vein on Netflix but with more of a female bent, I really enjoyed Partner Track, but there was only 1 season so far. I hope it gets picked up for more! ETA looked it up and it did not, it was cancelled, boo!
