Oh no, sweetchix! That is just terrible news. I am really glad to hear it hasn't spread, but so sorry you have to go through treatment at all. Please let us know what we can do for you, even if it's just listening to you vent. I'll be thinking of you!
I’m exhausted. I slept poorly this weekend. Then Sunday we saw John Oliver who was fantastic! But I didn’t get home till late. And I couldn’t fall asleep last night. H has today off so we went to brunch at the Neighborhood RockNVoll and we’re doing back to school shopping this afternoon and the kids have haircuts. They go back to school tomorrow. They’re still on their summer schedule so it’s going to be a rude awakening when they have to get up at 7 tomorrow.
Ooh, John Oliver sounds really fun! And a day date at Neighborhood is always a winner. It's been too long since we were there, but now that fall's approaching I will 100% be back for that baked apple with the cream of wheat! Maybe you, scm1011 , and I should do a GTG.
ETA: I should learn to read the thread and not only look at where I've been tagged. sweetchix so sorry to hear your bad news and hope you find a good path forward soon.
Most people are home and settled after our mass evacuation for wildfire (except the 190+ people who no longer have a home…). They have done an amazing job at creating a fire guard around the city, but the fire is still classified as out of control. The winds are picking up this evening and a huge new area is now on evacuation alert. It’s actually closer to our house now than it was previously. 😭
I don’t wanna leave again. I really hope this doesn’t pick up tonight, but if it’s like the wind two weeks ago it went from mild to out of control within a couple hours.

VillainV I'm so sorry that happened, it must have been terrifying.
My H and I have Covid. We were so proud that after 3 years of being super careful, we hadn't had it. Last week, my H's cousin and her brother visited. Two days later, we came down with it. I guess we weren't super careful enough. We're not too bad, flu like symptoms, and more exhaustion than I've ever had. Be careful everyone, it's out there just waiting for it's next victim.
sweetchix , I’m so sorry. I’m sure this feels like the rug was pulled out from underneath you.
VillainV - I hate that you were touched by this again and that gun violence is so commonplace. I don’t understand why there’s no will to change.
namasteak - I have the bissell steam mop listed up thread and an O Cedar ProMist Max Spray mop. They have different uses, but I find the spray mop is less hassle day to day and use it much more often. It has no cord to manage and I can use the Lysol concentrate to clean. The washable mop pad is dual-sided and I can flip at the halfway point. I mop a LOT more now that I don’t need to drag out a bucket.
I will be on vacation in less than 48 hours. It makes the fact that I’ve been up for for almost 18 hours at 8pm much more bearable!
I own both of those and would purchase again!! I also follow Jill Comes Clean on Instagram and she has lots of good recommendations. You’d think my house would be far cleaner based on my Instagram feed 😬
ETA: I posted before I read everything. Sending so much strength to you sweetchix for the road ahead.
