We're head to NY for the day because my husband needs a visa for our travel later this year. And we're late for our embassy appointment because of traffic.
I'm panicking over being late for it and my husband is just breezy about it. I cannot understand how his brain works. It's wild.
I also can't stop thinking about what bakery I want to go to, so my brain is ping-ponging between cardamom buns and time anxiety.
I am ridiculously unmotivated today. Probably because I got it in my head I wouldn’t be working this week, and I worked my ass off to be ahead last week. So, like there are no tasks in my queue. I’m also taking 2 half days. Because I can, and there was an appointment at an appointment only store I want to keep, and an afternoon farmers market with a pierogi lady I have been following on FB but can never get to. And so I got it in my head I’d go this week. So dammit, I’m going.
I'm usually really good about googling a guy before I go out with him but for some reason I didn't do that with the guy I went out with Saturday night. I liked him, but something felt off. So the next day I googled him and checked my local Are We Dating the Same Guy Facebook group and it was bad. Really bad. Like he was charged with 3rd Degree Murder bad. I would post a link but it involves a child and I don't know how to do a spoiler. Also his ex posted about him in that FB group and not only is he an all around horrible person for the crimes he committed, but he did some really awful things to her as well. I'm disappointed in myself for not doing my due diligence, but also, why are some men just so awful? Every single word out of his mouth turned out to be a lie.
I realized H just leaves the gas pump total where it stops and doesn’t even try to get it to a round number (ex if the pump shuts off at $53.47 he just leaves it there instead of going to $53.50) he’s a damn monster and I don’t know if I can continue with this marriage.

Yeah, I had pretty much accepted that I wouldn't be working this week and had a mental list of stuff to do. I guess I'll come back to it in November....
I have a papercut on the inside of my right middle finger, right on the joint, and it's making it hard to do pretty much anything. So annoying that a tiny little thing is messing up so much
We had such a busy weekend; I'm looking forward to a quiet Monday. Friday we went to a burlesque festival and then out for drinks. Saturday we met a group of friends at a brewery, then went straight to our friends' party, then straight to our neighbor's party and didn't get home till 2am. Sunday we had to get up early and drive to a storage unit and then to the IL's new vacation home and load/unload a whole house's worth of furniture. I'm having Aleve and coffee for breakfast.

The gummy experience was bad. I should have taken half of one. I got so incredibly sick and still feel a little drugged and nauseous today. Going to try and go on a walk and drink lots of water today.

I just scheduled my COVID and Flu vaccine for Friday after work with the anticipation that I will feel like crap and then have the weekend to recover. I got them spaced out last year. I'm scared of getting them together because individually they make me feel not great, but I just want to get it over with and not have to keep making appointments.
This work week should be "normal" as in there are no community events I have to attend so I can spend time on my actual work. It's nice to get outside the office, but man, I get peopled out so fast when I'm out working at an expo.

But that’s bad for your car!! And wastes money, some of what you pay for after the auto click stays in the hose and doesn’t make it into your car.
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
fernweh I stop when the pump indicates stop, no rounding up. Why does that matter? Not being snarky, just curious.
I like round numbers on my gas pump too. Mainly (for me) it's a throw back to when I would record expenses more diligently and it was easier to subtract.

I round up to make math easier when figuring out a tip for sure, but there's no math at the pump and I don't balance a checkbook or anything.
Relatively quiet day today meeting-wise, so I will have some good stretches of time to do heads-down work, which I desperately need to do.
Today through Wednesday we're supposed to have temps in the 80s and sunshine, which is about 20 degrees higher than normal. I'm making a point to get outside at lunchtime on those days to take a walk and enjoy the weather.
My sister, niece and nephew are visiting on Wednesday for a long weekend. I am so excited. But also in total hostess mode trying to make sure the house is clean and well stocked. Also my nephew is 3 and it has been a long time since I had to think of little kid activities!
Back to work for me today. I set up a few appointments to do tasks, one with IT & one with a vendor, however I don’t remember which day or when! I have it written at work, so that mystery will be solved soon enough. I’m just annoyed. Lol
I got several Shutterfly coupon codes yesterday because I know several people here use them frequently. Pls let me know if you want one! I was thinking of ssmjlm for sure. Sorry to be a stalker?

Mine are scheduled for this afternoon since Tuesday was a really light day for me. Now I have an important 9 am call on the calendar that I need to be very on for. Ugh

Today is our daughter’s first day at daycare! I think she’ll do fine so I’m excited to see how the day goes. I took this week off since we traveled last week and I could get used to this stay at home mom life with a kid in daycare I have lots of plans with Netflix and working out this week, plus getting my hair done and I want to book a facial

I finally received a court date for my disability claim! July made two years since I initially filed so to have a firm date is surreal. I already emailed my lawyer even though he was cc’d because I am hoping he’ll have some advice for me. It’s a phone hearing so I’m not sure if I’m supposed to go to his office and we call on speakerphone, if I call from my own home, or he is going to do all the talking, etc… I have a million questions!
I scheduled my covid booster for this afternoon at Walgreens and there’s a Starbucks within walking distance, so I plan on spending some time reading magazines on their patio. I subscribe to 7 magazines and my “To Read” stack is getting ridiculous.

It honestly doesn’t matter - I have just always done it. No clue why, I don’t try and round up any of my other purchase amounts. It just seems weird not to to me.

What's something fun that five adults could do at Thanksgiving? It will just be me and H, my ILs, and my SIL this year. MIL is going to cook, so I'm looking for something we could all do while we hang out at the ILs house.

I have not heard of it being bad for your car. I’ll have to look into that!
A broke her ankle yesterday. ☹️ I feel so bad for her. She was at my niece’s gymnastics party and stepped on a piece of equipment and rolled it. I took her to the ER last night and the splinted it, but we have to follow up with an orthopedic doctor.

Give him a swiffer! My kid loves that at 3. Win-win for everyone 😂
I finally found a place where I could get a Covid vaccine next week!
Also, I posted about a person who is always the victim last week. She posted yesterday and wow, this woman can spin EVERYTHING. She has done some really vile things to people but according to her she’s nothing but respectful to everyone and sits at home getting attacked. They have a gofundme now and I wish people actually knew the truth about her because if someone donates it will not be used with good intentions.

Our family plays a lot of card games- Uno, Knock Knock, Hit List, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza-- all big hits with our family.

I used to always round it to the nearest even number and once I stopped caring about it, it was very freeing, lol.

I love doing something outside. Turkey trot, hike, etc. We usually do something during the day with our BFF and her family since neither of us host. Could you all go for a neighborhood walk? Rent a movie and eat popcorn? Play dominoes?
Bernadine, I am sorry about A! That sounds terrible
