That thread sheet got me thinking, what are some things that are popular/fashionable etc. that you don't like? For example when everyone had (maybe they still do) gray walls did you do that? Anything that is so popular you have a hard time finding any alternative? Say a non-stainless steel appliance, or whatever style pants is now in fashion. (Can you tell I watch too much HGTV as my de-stressor, lol)
Open concept. I like having walls between all of my rooms.
YESSS! Our house is pretty boxy and it makes it harder to heat, BUT it's also nice to have separate space. I don't understand the fascination, esp when you have more than 2 people living together.

Apparently not an unpopular opinion. The house we bought is old and had previously been a victim of open concept. We plan on putting up walls again when we do renovations to the kitchen.
I hate eggs. All these recipes with a runny egg on them, vomit.
Jeans these days. I've been trying to get into other cuts besides skinny jeans and they all don't look right, I have no idea what shoes to wear, or the pants hit the shoes in a weird place, IDK I just have no idea what I'm doing.
I never liked skinny jeans and am so happy to see wider leg styles back in fashion. I have thick legs so I think they fit me especially tightly-- they are both unflattering and also make my legs itchy.
I have also never liked weed LOL. Somehow I have the exact opposite reaction of the rest of the world-- it either makes me anxious or I just feel nothing at all. Do not get the appeal at all.
I also don't like open concept. It is way too stimulating for me. My rooms are separated and my house isn't super closed off - each room connects to another in a spacious, not cramped way, but I do need the separation. It's also more visually appealing to me.
I cannot stand PVC fencing. I'd love wrought iron but I'll take my more affordable cedar wood fence all day over PVC.
I also do not really like kitchen islands. They're fine in other people's homes, but in mine I much prefer my large kitchen table that can be moved to the corner when we are hosting.

Another vote for open concept. H and I used to watch Log Cabin Living and EVERYONE wanted an "open concept" cabin. No. Coffee. Even the ones that are disguised as milkshakes, I just do not like the taste.
And I don't mean this in a mean way at all because I generally like her as a person but Taylor Swift. Like, I literally cannot tell you the name of one song that she sings. She's not in my orbit at all, ever.
All white kitchens (I don’t think they are ugly but it’s not my jam). Relatedly, all grey or neutral interiors
“Modern farmhouse”
The shapeless and/or cropped shirts that are everywhere
How are “math shoes” in style ?!? (All, not sleek white sneakers that the math geniuses all wore when we were growing up). And wearing them w dresses or skirts gives me “middle aged lady on the metro commuting to work” vibes. Which, I am here for comfort & not walking miles in heels but how is this on trend? See also: crocs w socks. Wtf?
Jack and Jill bathrooms. Bathrooms should have ONE entrance. I don't want to worry about locking two doors, especially if I'm up to pee in the middle of the night and half asleep.
Also, I don't want a walk in closet accessed through the bathroom either. That just seems a giant pain in the ass, and like my clothes would constantly be exposed to excess moisture. No.
White subway tile. It has it's places, but I like a little more pizzazz.
And agreed on open concept. It was so easy to rule out a few potential interior designers based on their suggestions that we just blow out a couple walls and have the entire first floor basically one big room, even after we'd said we don't want open concept.
The Great Alone started really good but then got really, really nonsensical and shitty. Such a waste of a great concept!
Jumping on the open concept bandwagon but I have ALWAYS hated it. I swear HGTV is trying to make open concept happen when nobody wants it.
On that note, why Chip and Joanna are so popular. Their designs are all identical, soulless and boring. The couple from Home Town are infinitely better.
Dill pickles and mustard. Just gross!
The music of Pink (modern day, not early stuff). Loud whining. No thanks!
When I was a kid, NKOTB, Nsync, and the Backstreet Boys. I received much elementary and middle school shaming related to that.
And yet still I could probably sing most lyrics to their popular songs because we just had RADIO and MTV played music videos! They were inescapable! /shakes cane

Preach! I have ordered and returned and tried on so many pair. I'll stick to skinnies, skirts and leggings.
I realized just this morning I felt the same way. I was elated to take down our Halloween decorations, and when I see adults going all out I realize I'm in the minority among adults re: Halloween enjoyment. I vastly enjoy generic fall decorations more.

I hate skinny jeans and have never looked good even when I was skinny.
Dislike Kristen Hannah too. Firefly Lane was painful and took me forever to read. Never went through the rest of the series. I'm starting to get over Colleen Hoover too because it's the same g-d plot over, and over. I think most readers on here don't like CH, but she's everywhere IRL.
I didn't like Vegas and have no desire to go back ever. Not even in to legal gambling or casinos.
This decorate for, and everything Christmas on or before November 1st is really stressing me out this year. At least don't make it the only option in stores, and the only thing on TV, just people decorating on their own.
The term "girl math". For goodness sake we have enough issues with female empowerment and just general rights, let's not act like we can't math on top of it!
