I mentioned we were doing some ikea hacks. Here’s what we’ve done so far. We'll do one or two more closets. Possibly my office at some point.
The “entertainment center” are all Billy pieces that I added together to fit our space. Around $450 when similar setups were over $1k. A lot of all in one pieces wouldn’t fit our space. We plan to add a piece of trim to the very bottom to give it more of an all in one look.
We needed to get the most out of our tiny closet. It’s all Boaxel pieces. We configured to fit our space. It wasn’t too bad to install. $150 ish.
Is that a shared closet? It looks great! I need to do something like that in my kids rooms, our closets are all tiny and I can never figure out how to best use the space. I like the entertainment center too! We did something similar in our last place.

It is! At first I thought the billy bookcase in there would look weird, but I love all the shelves because I fold jeans, leggings, tshirts, etc, and it gives me so much room for them.

We put in a Hemnes shoe cabinet in a narrow spot next to a hallway bathroom downstairs basically exactly like the first pic and use it for coloring books/paper markers in the bottom and gift bags/tissue paper in the middle. Top drawer holds random stuff like balloons, stickers etc.
I'm really curious if anyone has ever used the customized door fronts - like from Semihandmade and others. I want a sideboard for my office but really don't want to spend a ton of money, so this seemed like a solution.
I tried to buy some IIKEA furniture because they added a non-showroom location to our area. I thought “Great! What a great way to pick-up”. But no, it was all lies. Sad.
