I have an interview Friday morning for a job I'm really excited about. I haven't been on a job interview since 2007 (OMG!) and have been a SAHM for 2.5 years now so I'm feeling a bit rusty. Does anyone have any tips/advice to share? What can I best do to prepare?
(Sorry for posting this here. The Careers board is really slow.)
I have no advice to give as it's been even longer since I've had an interview and I've also been a SAHM for about 2.5 years. Just want to say good luck and make sure you try your suit on now just in case!
Good luck!! I would jot down some thoughts on questions you think they might ask. I always prep something on my strengths, something I am most proud of, and then questions I have. I bring my questions with me.

Thanks for all the well wishes!
I already picked out which suit I'll wear so I've got that covered. I'm going to make a list of potential questions they might ask me tonight and will check out their website a little more to see what else I can learn about them.
I'm in the middle (well, maybe near the end!) of a job search right now, so interviews are all I think about these days. Forgive me for telling you stuff I'm sure you already know, but give yourself plenty of time to get there and take a few copies of your resume (and work, if applicable).
In addition to preparing some questions for them, you should prepare answers to the standard questions (i.e., how you ended up in your field, why you left any previous jobs, your strengths and weaknesses, etc.) and know your resume/job history (i.e., responsibilities, accomplishments) inside and out.
Oh, and if you receive the name of the person interviewing you in advance, look up his/her LinkedIn profile. This may not apply to your line of work, but I've found it helpful to know a little about the people interviewing me.
Yay! Good luck! Is this for a full or part time gig? So exciting!
It's full-time. I wasnt initially looking for anything FT but this job is a really good opportunity for me so I didn't want to pass it up if there was a chance I might actually get hired.
