Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
Dh was traveling for work every week this month so he had a stack of packages in our dining room that he’d yet to open. He opened everything last night while we set up Santa for dd; he got 2 Amazon gift cards that we didn’t order and that he has no idea who sent them. It’s a complete mystery.

Gifts have been open, coffee has been drunk, and now I’m about to head out for a run. Then, we’ll head out to our fave Chinese buffet for a late lunch. If we don’t travel, going out for Chinese is my next favorite Christmas tradition.
I got a couple clothing items from H. And they are both oversized. And they are meant to be oversized. And I’m trying to decide if I like them or will always wish they were more fitted.
First Christmas separated and the part with STBX wasn’t awful. He came over early and stayed for about 2-3 hours. The last 30 minutes we even had normal conversation, instead of our recent informational only communication.
Rest of the day is my family (always super casual) around 2 and then a typical evening at home before back to work (from home) tomorrow for me.
So much for an easy day. My dad clogged the toilet and I don't have a plunger, I'm not sure where it went. I only have one bathroom. I spent the last hour trying to clear it with alternative methods with zero luck. Walgreens appears to be open and has a plunger in stock, wish me luck.
Did you try dish soap and very hot (almost boiling) water?

We did, without luck. Fortunately, Walgreens was open and plungers in stock. We are all clear for now.
Omg I’m so pissed - DS2’s big gift was oculus. Ordered new from GameStop, came shrink wrapped in a box, legit tracking and everything. The box was just full of wood pieces! Someone - an employee? - stole the oculus, replaced it with wood so it weighed the same, shrink wrapped it again and sent it out. WTF. And we obviously can’t fix it today because everything is closed. I’m so angry someone can be such a shit.
I would be so livid. wtf?!? I’m sorry. What a letdown.
My son is not 100% so we postponed our feast to tomorrow and are going to snack and wear pajamas and watch terrible Christmas movies all day. Only really bad ones. Like, Holiday in Handcuffs bad.
I am also drinking champagne.
But for my son not feeling well, it would be a perfect day. And he's okay, just not 100% and needs rest.
I am feeling very content and grateful. I feel like these are the years I need to stop and recognize how special they are, with our parents in decent health and our kids still so excited and into it all. I am curled on the couch with a mimosa and a new book while DS1 redeems his new Robux, DS2 plays kinetic sand and H jogs. They both slept until 7:15, which was perfect, and H made a big breakfast for us. Christmas Eve is our busy day and Christmas Day is just a relaxing day for the four of us at home, so it is a very low key afternoon! We’ll call H’s family since they live far away, and we may go see a movie at night if we get sick of being home all day.
I’ve been baking all morning and listening to ABBA. H is raking leaves. lol We haven’t touched the presents. The roast is not on yet, I’m assuming because I told H he was in charge of the roast, the glared at home when he pulled out the instate pot. Sorry, not sorry, you want your mother sauerbraten, use her recipe, don’t do it in an instant pot on Christmas.
At the in-laws and it’s not too bad. My best friend called me first thing from England to tell me she’d gotten engaged! Her fiance is British so they’re over there for the holiday. I didn’t pick up her FaceTime at first because I was in bed and H was asleep and it was dark, but she called, like, 5 times in a row and texted me that I had to pick up NOW lol she’d been waiting as long as she could to call me. I’m so so happy for her.
The ILs gave us a card with a very generous check so that will help with our upcoming landscaping costs we’ll have soon. We did Secret Santa and FIL couldn’t find the gift he’d gotten the nephew he’d had for SS. He swears MIL wrapped it, she claims she’s never seen it, we’ve looked everywhere. It’s a mystery.
Now we have a couple of hours until appetizers start so I’m just reading and hanging out.
We really stuck to a simple Christmas and it was fantastic.
DS got 6 gifts total between us, my parents, and great-grandma. He lost his mind over everything, even though only 2 were things he asked for. He keeps saying "I don't know how to show you how much gratitude I have!"
I bought H Mario Golf for Switch and he's already playing. H bought me a blanket and a necklace, both things I asked for and love.
Now we're chatting with family and snacking. We have everything to make brunch, but none of us are interested right now. Later we are smoking a turkey and will have dinner with neighbours.
The holidays have been pretty enjoyable, except DS barfed this morning. I’m home with him while H and the oldest visit his family. I’m bummed to miss out, but it’s not the end of the world. 3 parties in 3 days is a lot for this introvert.

My parents got us a Shark robot vacuum so we’re getting that set up. I was excited we got to name it in the app lol. Once it’s done charging, she’ll go on her maiden voyage 😂
DS announced last night that presents were being opened at 8am sharp so he would be waking everyone up at 7:45. He ended up sleeping a little later anyway, and ran around telling people to get moving, we're 11 minutes behind schedule!
My parents and aunt got here a little bit ago, we opened presents with them and now basically have a parade of snacks the rest of the day.
I'm so tired. Was woken up at 3am to the police conducting some sort of well check on a guy sitting in a van parked at the building next door. I don't really know what was going on, but they walked him out to an ambulance at the end. The flashing lights and yelling were enough to keep me awake for awhile. I eventually did get back to sleep and thankfully DD didn't get up until nearly 8:30. We're not going anywhere today. Thinking about having a cheeky glass of Cava.
Urgent Care for me. Strep, flu, and COVID negative. Probably a nasty cold/virus. The PA said something is going around, and I'm lucky I don't have it worse. Dunkin was open, and I was starving. I got 20 Munchkins (donut holes) that are not mostly gone. So much for the food I bought for today. Tonight's dinner will be soup + grilled cheese.

My parents got us a roomba last Christmas and we definitely refer to it by name. H insisted we sing it happy birthday (complete with cupcake) today 🤣😂
Woke up with a stomach bug. Merry Christmas! Thankfully I seem to be the most affected, hoping my parents and the kids don't get hit. That put a damper on the morning, but the kids had fun. DD1 was so into it and loved everything, especially the only thing on her Christmas list (princess stuffie). The rest of the day has been low key with movies and playing and food. I'm glad my mom doesn't go overboard with kid gifts so it's not too overwhelming right now.
Round 2 starts tomorrow with the ILs arriving for the rest of the week, then off to my parents' for the weekend with extended family.
We had a nice day, despite it being different than expected. Very long story short, the family gathering we thought my half sister had B list invited us to was actually a separate sub-gathering just for us, so we didn't see my nephews (who are my age, more like cousins) and their kids today. So that part was annoying but not a surprise from her, and the rest was great at my dad's.

Merry Christmas all!
We had a great day. The older boys slept until 8 and I woke up DS3 at 7:30 to feed him first. They had such a nice morning opening presents. DS1 is perfectly into the Christmas stuff now at 4 and was just sooo excited. It was adorable. For dinner, I made a slow cooked ribeye steak for the first time (I rarely eat beef) and it was delicious. My 4yr old requested broccoli 😂 and actually ate it. All in all a successful day and I’m exhausted!
Got little sleep, joined the family, and continue to assume I will pick up germs.
Here's today's germ story: Person 1 eating fruit from platter using fork, sets it down on table and walks away. Person 2 (the one cooking) puts pile of forks on table. Person 1 returns and asks which one is their fork. Back and forth as they try to guess, but then they see the look on my face and choose the right answer is to rewash them all.
My best Christmas gift is the joy I'm getting from the gift H got for MIL. For the first year I put him in charge of getting gifts for his family, and they didn't give a list. He got his mom a personalized picture blanket. It kind of looks like a quilt with different squares with words and patterns and pics of our kids.
Well it came a few days ago but he just opened it last night to wrap it. 1. It's for moms not grandma's 2. Some weird words and bad grammar (like one block says "world best mom"). 3. The bottom square says "From, H first name last name"
When I noticed the last one I fully lost it. I probably laughed for 20 minutes straight. I'm going to have to hide when she opens this gift.
