The GOP thought they had the votes but…oops, they don’t.
This is absolutely ridiculous and I am tired of the government only working to appease extremists.

Following on the heals of the Border deal they demanded falling through- Biden called their bluff & they caved to Trump's demands to tank it so it could be a political thing. So, now maybe they are just going back to a straight funding deal for Ukraine & Israel, like they started with?

I really hope the dems can capitalize on this & spread the message that the GOP is doing all of this for political tom foolery.

So now the Senate just voted down the bipartisan deal too...

So Biden can say the Dems gave the GOP everything they asked for in a bipartisan deal and the GOP refused to take it.

I love that he didn’t even have shoes on, but he acknowledged that he was wearing socks that were “pretty thick.”

Thanks for reviving. Two Democrats were absent, and a D was newly elected to replace George Santos last night, so I got the sense the GOP shoved this through for those reasons.

Impeachment has lost any semblance of seriousness now but I take it that was the point - make it so Trump's two previous impeachments are just "partisan politics" and not actually for high crimes and misdemeanors.
