I feel sick.

And since when was it a Christian thing, Christian scientists excepted, to opine on healthcare (unless it controls women)? Would Jesus vaccinate is not something I remember from Sunday school. It was more along the lines of god gave us brains, brains gave us science and medicine, so use it.

But, I see the line from fundagelicals wanting to have the freedom from government actually teaching their kids science, that slavery is bad, yo, that it's ok to be gay, to yay, another way to carve out religious exemptions and bitch about gubmint.

I am reminded that I am really not meeting my full potential of raking in money for personal gain & prosperity. When I was a Girl Scouts, my parents would not bring in and pass around cookie sheets at their offices because it violated the spirit of the project designed to teach girls how to do all of the cookie sales themselves. I did well
in sales, on my own, but Marie Clare always won the big prize because her father had no such ethics and owned a business with lots of employees and drummed up all kinds of cookie sales for his daughter.

These people and their lies kill people. And they know it.

My job is now in public health combating vaccine misinformation/disinformation and vaccinating the marginalized public with little to no access to healthcare and/or vaccines.

livinitup I hear what you’re saying regarding cookie sale fairness but as both a long-time GS co-leader and staunch defender of science, I take slight issue with equating Girl Scout cookie sales tactics with these anti-vax grifters! 🤪 The damage these latter people have done and are doing is horrible.

Marie Clare was just learning to leverage her network from an early age.

I agree with your ethics and values. As a total rule follower, I upheld the same standards for myself. Then I realized in my 20s that I was getting railroaded by everyone who had bent the rules or worked their connections and were leaping ahead of me. So last week my husband took the cookie order form to work and I'm literally getting Venmo notices all morning that his coworkers are buying GS cookies. 

One of the things I've been pondering the last few weeks is how non-profits range from these tiny organizations trying to raise money for underfunded schools to the Mormon church making shady billion dollar investments. And then these above listed COVID grifters. And they all operate in a legit manner within the rules set forth by the IRS, well until the SEC started investigating the Mormon investment stuff. UGH is all I have to say.

That has to be an extremely difficult job, so thank you for doing that.

I'm a nurse and before this job, I got my MPH (epi concentration). So I do my part with educating patients and dispelling misinformation, but what you're doing is an entirely other level.
