I'm trying to become more of a tea drinker, especially in the evenings after dinner. Right now I just have super basic Bigelow green tea from the grocery store and it's fine but a little blah. I'm looking for recommendations for other teas that don't have a ton of caffeine and have a nice taste. Or places where you order nice tea instead of just grocery store tea bags. Thanks!
I like Rishi teas a lot! Whole Foods carries them near me. They also have some other brands with nice options. You might also check out local cafes, sometimes they also sell the loose teas/tea bags they serve (and the bonus is you can try it before committing to buying a container!)
In terms of varieties, I really like rooibos tea and white teas for no/lower caffeine options.

My 2 favorite teas are Twinings Chai tea (it's a black tea and does have a good amount of caffeine, this is what I drink in the morning) and Twinings Nightly Calm herbal tea (this one is caffeine free I think). Oh, my absolute favorite is Tsao Chai tea concentrate mixed with almond milk (which is what Starbucks uses for their Chai tea latte), but that has a good amount of sugar in it, so I only drink that as a treat occasionally. The Twinings Chai tea doesn't taste very much like a Chai tea latte IMO, it's more of just like a spicy tea. I use mint flavored honey in mine.
I am not a tea person. I wanted to be, but it just isn’t happening. But the one brand I mostly like best is Rishi. Weirdly I do kind of enjoy the ginger turmeric tea they make.
I also like Twinings Chai, and they also make a decaf version. The Tazo Orange tea is delicious too, and I think Twinings or Bigelow makes a raspberry tea that I love.
I mostly drink caffeinated tea, but my favorites are Stash Moroccan Mint and Vadham Chai. Stash makes lots of decaf teas too. I typically order off Amazon, starting with small quantities to make sure I like it….then I order boxes of 100.
I like a local option that ships all over. The tea spot. I mostly buy their caffeinated stuff but some of their others are also tasty, including the orange smoothie and red rocks.

Market Spice Tea is my new go-to. The original is so good. I was in the store recently and it was such a fun experience and I had to stop myself from overbuying.
I like mint tea in the evenings. If using a bag, I'm not loyal to a specific brand but I also just like steeping fresh mint leaves, sometimes with a little honey, too.
I've tried to avoid specialty teas that I can't buy with ease... Numi and Tazo have both been in rotation for years - I can't buy them at my local grocery, but I can get them at Target. I'm mostly an earl gray girl, but in the evenings, try to stick to caffeine free.
Also randomly.. pay attention to the time it says to steep your tea. SO many people just leave their tea bags in their tea the entire time they're drinking, and what could be a really lovely tea ends up being bitter and gross and they assume they don't like it.

Similarly, pay attention to the temperature that different teas should be steeped at. Black teas like boiling, green and white teas need much lower (like 180F or lower).

Aveda Thé is really good for relaxing and unwinding. It doesn't need sugar due to the licorice root in it, so it's great.
I love berry/hibiscus tea for something sweet (I add honey), or chamomile when I need to feel sleepy or calm. I like lemon/ginger if my stomach is upset.
Mornings, if I'm not feeling like coffee, I'll have English breakfast with some vanilla coffee creamer in it, or I use an Earl Grey with lavender in it and make myself a London Fog. So yummy!
I drink more tea than most people drink coffee, and it's mostly black tea (loose leaf english breakfast tea by mighty leaf, sold by Peet's, if you need the caffeine).
However, I also drink this often - usually towards the end of my shift so I'm able to sleep when I get home. It smells delightful - I've even had coworkers make comments about how it smells.
Grocery store: Celestial Seasoning Bengal Spice, Apple Cinnamon, Sleepytime (any of that line). Also, Wegmans has a great Candy Cane tea (seasonal) & Chocolate Mint
Online: I get a lot of tea from David’s Tea. Some have a lot of stevia added so if you don’t like sweet, read ingredients. My no caffeine or low caffeine from David’s tea are: cinnamon rooibos chai, silent night (seasonal), detox tea, & gin & tonic tea (<~that one is a little funky but I like it).
I agree Harvey & Sons & Stash are really great. If you have a “fancy” grocery store near you like Whole Foods there’s usually a lot of fun options (at least better than my Kroger)
Harney and Sons is a good brand, you can buy some of their more popular flavors in grocery stores around here. I really enjoy their Paris (which you can get decaffeinated) and their Winter White Earl Grey. We also drink a lot of their peppermint tea, which is herbal, so naturally caffeine free.
Murchie's is a brand out of Canada that's also really good, but unless you are in Canada you probably have to order it online.
For easy to grab grocery store teabags I generally reach for Stash or Twinnings. IMO, most Bigelow teas are not good (the exception being I Love Lemon, which is herbal and doesn't contain tea leaves, but does contain lots of lemon flavor).
Caffeine free herbal blends that contain rooibos are going to taste more like traditional tea than say, chamomile, but depending on the accompanying flavors they may be a bit more earthy than you are used to.
If you want small batch premium loose leaf teas, I love this: www.clairthe.com/ (disclaimer: I know the owner, but I don't get anything for recommending it.) I would recommend getting a tea sampler to try out a lot of kinds. I'm partial to the black teas.
I order 1lb bags from davidson tea, but I'm brewing a big pot of loose leaf every day. They have tea bags too and a large selection. My favoites are the Dragonwell Green and the Green Chai, but neither are low/no caffeine.
I find that decaffeinated versions of the types of tea that naturally started with caffeine taste flatter and blander than their caffeinated versions in a way that decaf coffee doesn’t. I don’t think I could tell the difference between a nice regular vs decaf coffee but I definitely could with a black tea.
I will drink half caff (or quarter caff) coffee when I want a smaller dose of caffeine. When I’m choosing tea to avoid caffeine, I tend to stick with only herbal teas since I don’t usually like the decaffeinated ones. I do make an exception for decaf chai (Twinings) because I think the spices mask whatever flavors are lost or muted from the decaffeination.
For herbal, my usual is Twinings lemon ginger especially if I’m sick. I also like most types of mint/peppermint tea but a lot of the fruity ones are too sweet for me. I ordered some hibiscus tea from the Republic of Tea website and it actually has stevia in the bag which I was kind of annoyed about. I prefer to add a little honey if I’m in the mood for the tea to be sweet.
