I need new leggings and have some specific things I'm trying to solve for, so thought I'd ask here. I'm happy to order and return if there are multiple possible choices!
Leggings - I carry weight in my middle and all of my leggings either roll down or squeeze my stomach too tight. My favorite leggings are actually maternity ones that sit under my belly, but I haven't been pregnant since 2015 so those are on the outs. My Zellas are great quality but squeeze my stomach and are a little too long (I wear a medium, I have tried the large and they're too big in the legs / still too long). My Aerie ones all tend to roll at the stomach because they are a much thinner/shinier material.
Any you love that I should try?
Underwear - I'm taking recommendations for both thongs and bikini. Anything cotton and super comfortable that you recommend?
What are you looking for? Feel free to ask here as well!
I don't wear thongs or even bikini cut underwear anymore. I'm all about the comfortable, full coverage undies. LOL. I pretty much only wear the Soma Vanishing Edge underwear. I have several different styles. The "vanishing tummy" line is my favorite everyday underwear. It gives just a small amount of smoothing effect. Nothing constricting like shapewear.
I don't have issues with them rolling, they aren't too tight but do "hold you in". I like that they're 7/8 length so they aren't cropped, but also aren't baggy at the ankle. And I can't live without a side pocket.
You can also find them at Costco or Costco.com sometimes for like, $10 a pair.
I carry my weight in my belly and my favorite leggings by far are Athleta Elation. The waistband is so comfortable. Stash and Transcend both roll down periodically depending on how bloated I am/where my weight is/what size I am wearing.

They're probably $10 in store! I've noticed that Costco often ups the price of clothes for $5 and then offers "free shipping" compared to the in store price . I love an excuse to go to Costco!
These leggings are the best for lounging and errands, etc. I don’t wear them to work out but you could. They are super soft and the price is unbelievable. They stay in place too.
For undies, I think hanky panky are the best. I’ve been wearing their thongs forever but I’ve recently been really into the Brazilian bikinis. Very soft and comfortable.
I love Felina bikini cut undies with the lace waistband. Costco used to carry them but I have seen them in a couple years so recently ended up just ordering directly from Felina.
I like leggings that basically go up to my neck and have pockets. The Old Navy ones are good, so are the TekGear brand leggings at Kohl's
LOL me too. I also like the Old Navy ones, and also the American Eagle everything pocket leggings, although they used to make those in short and tall (which I got in short because I'm only 5'), and they don't anymore which makes me super sad. The American Eagle ones are a little thicker than the Old Navy ones IMO.
I love CUUP underwear. The ones I wear are modal, not cotton, but they are comfy and breathable. They aren't cheap, but now that I know which style and size I like I buy any color that ever goes on sale.
I'll add a request here: Sports Bras but not for "sport" lol. I want some comfortable but supportive sports bras for my upcoming trip to Japan that I can wear all day, and can be sink-washed.
Ideally comfortable sports bras big boobs (multiple D's here) and don't' create uniboob (let's get some separation!). Bonus for breathable, quick dry.
I love Beyond Yoga leggings but they can be pricey. Worth the investment of a few pairs IMO. So soft and don’t roll. I do find they run small (I’m a medium in all other leggings - Athleta, lululemon etc - but get a large in beyond yoga)

Are you looking for actual sports bras only, or are you open to wireless bras in general? I have yet to find a sports bra that doesn’t give uniboob, but like my Chantelle Norah wireless (I’m 32H)

It doesn’t need to be an actual sports bra. I guess it doesn’t have to be wireless either. I think my brain went to “sports bra” bc it would likely have “performance” material. Moisture wicking, fast dry. I hear Japan is humid AF in June and I’m a sweater.

I've been on the quest for the unicorn legging for years but I'm too cheap to buy lululemon. Old Navy Powersoft are my favorite but they're too thin for winter. Honorable mention to Zella live in. I recently got a few from Athleta during a sale that seem promising (salutation and elation) but I haven't worn them yet. I also ordered some from Gap that I haven't received yet.
I've tried the viral Hey Nuts ones and I liked them at first but now they slide down and I'm not a fan. Colorfulkoala on Amazon is ok. I just returned some crz yoga ones because of camel toe.
For underwear I like the Felina bikini at Costco and Soma vanishing edge (hipster and bikini). I size up in underwear and it's so much more comfortable

Gotcha. For moisture wicking, I have a True and Co bralette that dries quickly. Support is pretty minimal though…

For leggings I just tried the CRZ Yoga butterluxe from Amazon. They have lots of colors and different lengths. So far I really like them compared to my Athleta ones.
For bras I really like the Neiwai second skin. They are wireless and don't give me a uniboob. Somehow these are one size for most and I don't know how they do it.

These are my favorite underwear I've bought in quite a long time. They have held up VERY well wash wise, pretty much still look like when I bought them.
I have a flat tummy but no waist and have been happy in Vuori Elevation (but not for actual yoga class) and soma hipsters.
I love the Soma hipsters. They are the only underwear I like these days, and normally I hate hipsters. I’m also picky and prefer the ones with the lace on the butt. 🤷♀️
Not cotton but bikini and thong styles---Lululemon undies. OMG. Most comfy undies I've worn in ages. I like cotton undies for wearing around the house and buy cheapos from Walmart. You would NOT want to wear those things outside of the house. They really stretch out after a few hours.
ETA: sorry for the ridic. link, but also realized there are many options there. It's the nylon ones I like, and I'm a fan of the bikini ones...they stay put for me, no wedgies, don't slide down or roll down and hit where I want them to.
I just got these in the mail and they seem promising. Similar fit to ON powersoft but I think they are slightly thicker. In the 7/8 ones I ordered tall to make them full length
