I use both electric and manual. The electric is on the charger on the counter (and I have to clean the charger every week because I'm apparently someone who leaves their toothbrush a mess), and my manual I leave in a drawer with the toothpaste. Dh and I have separate vanities on separate walls in our bathroom, so ours are not together. He only uses an electric.
I have a Quip, so I keep it on the counter/mirror in its cover. We have a dual vanity, so H keeps his on his side, but similar setup. Our toilet is in a separate enclosure separate from the sink area, so there’s no concern about poop-water getting on toothbrushes.
In a cabinet behind the mirror. Our bathroom is small and has no counter space, so it's the only option. Mine is electric and I just run the charging cord in there (so the cabinet doesn't fully close). My partner's and son's are in a cup in the cabinet.
DH and DS both keep theirs on their bathroom counters as they use electric toothbrushes. I keep mine in my medicine cabinet in a cup because I like traditional toothbrushes.
When we travel we all use a traditional toothbrush and keep them together in a cup on the hotel counter.
H and I share a cup on the counter. Our bathroom has two separate sink/vanities. One is closer to the toilet so that’s our handwashing sink, one is closer to our bedroom door so that is our teeth brushing sink. Someday we’re going to renovate the bathroom and then our toothbrushes will live in a drawer. DS keeps his in a drawer.
