So walking around while sipping on a frozen grain alcohol concoction is a dangerous game. So far I’ve purchased: three handmade glass blown ornaments (for gifts), two jars of local honey (also gifts), and new earrings and a pocketbook (for myself).
I have an unexplained, very sore, incredibly swollen lymph node in my neck and I am considering performing experimental surgery on myself except my knives are all too dull.
You can get sterilized disposable scalpel on Amazon pretty cheap. I always have a few on hand.
Is there anyone in your fridge we should know about?

I hate this time of year because of the wardrobe changes. Any suggestions for where I could live year round in a crew neck sweatshirt and leggings?
We are going to a coffee shop concert tonight for a family member. I have massive embarrassment for performers (like same feeling as watching the Scott's Tots episode) that aren't famous. It has nothing to do with talent. Idk. I don't even drink and I'm suddenly very sad I can't even have a glass of wine at this place.
My colleague at the community college is a musician of the singer songwriter type and I can’t bring myself to listen. Which is weird bc my husband has been in two bands. I never enjoyed his shows either unless I was high 🤣

I just burned the crap out of my middle finger when doing my hair 😫 Headband it is!
I need to drag DS out today to try on shorts. I hate pant shopping. He's tall but skinny and has trouble with buttons so he needs to try things on. He'll likely be rewarded with a a small toy at Target or McDonalds lol.
Dh is at rally driving school this weekend so dd and I tagged along to take advantage of the company-paid travel. The weather sucks so our plan to check out a state park on my list is out and dd is pretty much in tears bc I refused to buy her a Glow Recipe toner with BHA (she’s 11!) at Sephora so shopping has been completely unpleasant. I wanted a new wallet, somehow Nordstrom had NONE. We are just going back to the hotel, I’m done.
You guys. This puppy. She got her last dose of shots yesterday so we took her on her first walk today. She did so great! And then immediately passed out on me when we got home.
It’s 53 degrees in Boston and my kids have been outside for hours dressed for the tropics like true New Englanders lol. DD just never got out of her ballet clothes is happily digging in the mud in a tutu. I’m enjoying the solitude too much to object.

Why are Mom’s the way they are?!
My partner printed a bunch of pictures and my mom was looking through them and there’s one of me in a bikini. And my mom was like wow bikini body, this must’ve been before you gave birth! And I was like actually no, this was in September when we all went on vacation together. She was like oh wow, you actually look good.
DS had an activity today and had to be dropped off at 10:00. I spent the next 3 hours running errands and I’m peopled out! I usually run little errands here and there after work or preorder and pick stuff up. This was a lot and very frustrating. I need a nap!
I just realized that because my MIL is going to be moving in with local SIL again, that I'm probably going to have to go to local SIL's for Easter dinner. We're already going over there tomorrow for St. Patrick's Day dinner, and honestly two family dinners in two weeks is too many.
It's supposed to get up to 70* here today, but right now it's only 63*. I'd like to get a tad warmer, and then I'm going to go for a walk and listen to my audio book.
The weather is nice and the neighbors have been parked on their stoop drinking tequila lemonades all afternoon and DAMN that sounds really good right now.

Today I did allllll the errands.
I spent 55$ on socks for DS. OMG. It was two 6 packs from Dicks so not the absolute cheapest, but he needs giant foot socks which I can't get at Target.
Also acquired: new sneakers for DS, new jeans for me, returned some things.
I reserve almost 100% of my comments on TikTok for something nice and supportive. I mostly watch cooking videos anyway. Every once in a while (like today, a lazy Saturday), I’ll scroll long enough to get on a “side” of a TikTok discussion. Even then, the algorithm usually lines up with my bias, so I don’t get annoyed too much before I find something else to do.
Today, someone was spouting incorrect information about Domestic Violence services and shelters. They were not completely wrong but I made the point that in my county when “shelters” are not available, the county pays for Motel rooms. And they keep coming back to argue and to keep missing the point that motels ARE shelters. Motels are part of the shelter systems. A shitty, broken system, but part of it.
Why do I care when someone is wrong on the internet? I need to go read a book.
Like what. We should have a pinned thread for important stuff.
9 weeks!
Why did nobody warn me how tired I would be?? Or how much my poor tits would hurt.
Congratulations! And just make a thread, these dorks will tell you AT LENGTH about anything you might encounter along the way.
Now me? I'm speaking from beyond the child bearing years to notify you that someday your vagina will dry right up and possibly atrophy if you don't look after it. HTH.

I want to thank whomever suggested resident alien. I just started at the beginning, and I'm so amused. If I didn't have st patricks day plans in the next couple hours, I might not leave the house today.

Oh bless you and Jeff!
NO MA'AM!! What do you want to do to it anyway?!?!?! Can't you freak out and then watch it go away in a week or so? Like a normal person? 🤣🤣
ETA: I am reading this thread backwards, I just read your other post that you HAVE seen a professional 😅. HOWEVER, we do not cut into our necks at home!! So, refer back to my original response 🤣.
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus

It's far enough away from my jugular and carotid that I think I'll be fine. If you don't hear from me by Monday, oopsie! 🥀
I have to pick up 44 boxes of concrete resurfacing mix today. I'm not totally sure it's all going to fit in my car. 🤣🤣
The update no one asked for: it fit, barely. And lord, it was SO heavy. The car was riding suuuuper low to the ground. I kept thinking, "come on little car, just X more miles, you can do it!--I just didn't want to pop a tire with the weight of it all. The part that made me laugh was that I had to go a second location to pick up the rest (1st location didn't have all 44), and I had to put 4 of them on the front seat. As soon as I started driving I hear BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP--the car wanted the seat belt fastened.
Do you ever feel like a place keeps getting further away?
My monthly guild meetings are at 2 pm Sundays. The first few times I went it took me 35-40 minutes. Not ideal but not horrible.
Then after a few meetings I’d leave at the same time and get there late. Now I’m leaving at 1 pm and barely getting there on time. I don’t notice some huge traffic distance. A couple times there was roadwork but that’s over. I feel like the space between the two locations has stretched.
