I taught Kindergarten, and in my school (a small charter school) we were each given ONE, laminated business card so that we could use it for discounts at stores and stuff.
My grandmother has a wall of family business cards in her kitchen, so I made one myself so I could be included on that : )
Now I am home with my daughter, but tutor on the side. I have been thinking of making one for tutoring purposes. I was planning to use vistaprint, but am curious to see the other responses.

No business cards for us! Guidance counselors and admins have them ordered by the school, but I guess they figure no one will want to contact the lowly teachers.
Honestly it's not that hard for anyone who wants to get in touch with me to track me down. I don't have a private line or voicemail or anything.
I have made them in the past but don't anymore. I just used the template in word and printed on cardstock. I actually got tons of compliments on how nice they were. I think I just put my email and phone on there. I stopped making them because it seemed silly to make business cards when all that is on the school website. And because I'm too lazy to make them.

We don't have business cards at my school. Not even the administrators do. All our contact info is on the school website, plus I list it on my syllabus and my teacher website (also linked from school site). None of my parents have ever had trouble contacting me.
I wasn't interested in giving them to parents. As pp have mentioned they know how to reach me via other means. I was more interested in professional contacts outside of my school. I am now involved with several professional organizations. I guess maybe I network outside of my school more than other teachers?
I'm not an educator but I have personal business cards in addition to my work cards with my personal email, cell, professional blog, and professional web site. I had them made at moo.com and the quality was great.

I teach at a large public high school, and they must have some deal with Vistaprint because every year we get like 100 business cards. They either include our picture on them or the school mascot, as well as our name, (school) email address, and school phone number. I RARELY give them out. During curriculum night I handed out a few to some parents who wanted to know how to get a hold of me, although the information was also listed on the syllabus I gave them, as well.
