Edited to clarify, I will be in Lisbon for 10 days, the 3.5 days I have are to do things outside of Lisbon. What should I prioritize? The Algarve? Any area in particular, or somewhere else?
r]Posted on travel as well.
Hi, I am going to have a free 3.5 days ahead of a work trip in Lisbon. What should I do? I will have a car and be on my own. Thinking to go south and possibly into Spain. I am completely open to suggestions or itineraries, as well as recs on where to stay. I have never been to Portugal, but spent a decent amount of time in Europe. I love history and pretty sites.
If you're looking for something to do outside of Lisbon, Sintra is amazing and not far away. Agree with Dreamcrisp that staying in and around Lisbon is the way to go.

I love Lisbon, so if you aren't going to see much of it while staying there for work, I'd just do Lisbon things (I also love visiting Belem, which is just around the corner and easy to get to via taxi). And if I had to travel cause I spent too much time in Lisbon (which I can't iamgine), I'd take the train and go to Porto, as I'm a lover of Port and Porto.

"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

Faro!! Lots of low key fun and interesting things to do (at least there were when I was there 18 years ago lol). Great food, great wine, shopping, scenery, history, easy to get around.
I haven’t been but we are going in June. We are spending the most time in Madeira and it’s the part of the trip I am most excited about. It is referred to as the Hawaii of Europe
