Was up at 5.30am. Had red wine last night at a dinner so that did it to me. And then my brain remembered I'm doing a big presentation today and anxiety took over enough to make me decide to get up. H was already up. I'll start practicing/reading over notes shortly. I hope this goes well (it's kinda funny because it's a talk about anxiety and panic).

I'm continuing my watch of L&O and am up to the late 90s. The skinny pencil line thin eyebrows are flashing me back. Thankfully I never followed that trend.

Good luck, mrsukyankee I need to get back on my early workout routine. I got lazy about it during DS’s hockey season and would workout while he was at night practices. Got up at 5:15 and pushed through a workout. Sipping coffee now before I start to get lunches ready and get us out the door.
Hoping to enjoy some warm sun today before the rain returns tomorrow.

Our wedding was beautiful! It rained about 10 drops during our first dance, otherwise it was dry and actually got sunny and kind of warm at one point in the afternoon. The tent we put up to cover the tables just in case, that we were worried was going to block the view and feeling of being in the garden, actually looked awesome and was open enough that it just set off the table area visually without making it closed off. We had exactly the relaxed, fun afternoon we'd hoped for, and L had the absolute time of his life. No nap, danced the entire time, was in HEAVEN.
Pictures from the ceremony - I don't really have pictures of the party/overall place itself yet, but L's outfit is the best anyway
ETA: first picture is as we were walking to the start of the aisle. We were going to walk in all together, but as soon as we got to the top of the aisle L saw his daycare bff and ran to sit with him, which was actually a hilarious way to start it all off.

Poor DH, he has had a go in just my first day gone. He encounted two aggressive Aussies we've never met last night when walking our Aussie. He said the owners had no control of the dogs. And he has no clue where the people came from because we live off a culdesac that's off another culdesac due the water, so we "know" everyone on the street.
Then he said the upstairs AC never cooled, which is the one we haven't had a problem with. Thankfully the weather is supposed to cool down and the pollen is about gone, so he's just going to call to have the spring service and unit checked together. And avoid an emergency call.
emilyinchile, you look absolutely stunning! And I am dying at L's outfit - he could not be any cuter! I am so glad things worked out weather wise and your day was wonderful.
I'm having a "owning a home sucks" week. I am very grateful that we own and bought when we did, but it's so expensive when things fall apart. I think we are going to have to redo our kitchen - our cabinets just keep breaking. I tried glueing the most recent one and somehow aligned it wrong so now it is back together but doesn't fit right. Two of our other cabinets are also held together by glue. They are just such poor quality to begin with that I think we may be better off replacing them with something more sturdy. I don't anticipate redesigning the whole space, just replacing the cabinets, countertops, and sink. And probably a backsplash. But I am sure that will still be at least 20k because everything costs so much.
Also a whole breaker worth of outlets is suddenly not working (after our cleaners were there so I suspect something happened?) so hopefully we can flip it a couple more times today and it will work, but if not we need to call an electrician. Wtf.
My neighbor just texted asking me if I could get some tree branches that are hanging over her yard trimmed. It's actually a perfectly reasonable request (it's a huge Sycamore tree and it does drop a lot of sticks and branches and I'm sure its annoying for both my neighbors) yet I am hot with annoyance about it, lol. Probably because this is the one that is obsessed with leaf removal too, because again, big trees drop leaves.... every fall she is obsessed with removing every last leaf from her yard and constantly complains to me about it.
She wants me to get it trimmed because "her dog choked on a stick" - maybe your dog shouldn't be trying to eat sticks or you should watch him closer. IDK lol. It's nature. Maybe you should move to a tree free zone if this is so triggering for you.
It does need trimmed so I'll get some quotes but we're already doing some plumbing projects and getting the house pressure washed so this wasn't really in the plan.
You look gorgeous emilyinchile - congrats!!
Morning!
I took our Aussie for a walk this morning. Luckily we only encountered dogs barking in the windows. Dad has her K language comprehension test today and soccer tonight. Hope both go well!

emilyinchile, you look beautiful. Your dress is AMAZING!
I meticulously laid out my son's outfit for picture day -- it's a super cute outfit, neutral colors. His father sent him to school in the outfit...with a fuzzy orange Gritty hat.
If he's wearing the hat in the photo, I will a) laugh about it in five years and b) probably murder my husband.
