I'm pretty breezy in these WYET threads but even I'm a hell no. A total strangers leftover food would gross me out. If it was a friend or someone I knew, I'd trust them not to be nasty. But otherwise, not worth it.
Before we left our VRBO from spring break last month, I almost posted a question on here about leaving food, but figured people would think it was a weird question, lol. MH insisted that we throw almost everything. I think we ended up leaving some spaghetti noodles, ramen, microwave popcorn and bottled/canned water.
In any situation I wouldn't and even in your situation, I wouldn't. People have nasty hands (lick their fingers, don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom ...). Nope nope nope.
No way. But I don't eat out of bags regardless so special snowflake!
Wait what? Respectfully requesting more info.
I just pour it in a bowl and eat it from there, should I want to (but only in my own home or with unopened bags other places---I have a lot of food related issues tied to my OCD).
Yup. Norovirus for example can survive on surfaces, here the pretzels, for days. Some bacteria can survive for months even. Just hope none of these people were sick and stuck their hands in the jar.
