I have a sick DS at home today. I woke up to him at my bedside around 1am saying he had a bad dream, and he got in bed with me. I have never felt someone so hot in my entire life, he was absolutely burning up. But, he also sleeps really hot, so I was wasn't sure if it was just that. I gave him some Tylenol and a few cold compresses and he fell back asleep. Of course, it took me several hours and some Xanax to get my own self back to sleep But this morning, he was still warm and had a 103.5 fever. He hates the bubblegum chewable Tylenol, so I ran down the street to the store (my neighbor kept an eye on him from my porch) and got him grape Motrin. He gagged on that and threw it back up, so I guess we're not doing meds right now, sigh. I gave him a few more cold compresses. He already seems less warm and slightly perkier though? He seems to recover from illness pretty quickly.
At least today's an OK day to be sick- not missing much aside from school and baseball practice. This is only the 2nd day of school he's missed all year. His immune system is pretty stellar from going to daycare from 6 weeks on, lol. Hopefully he's recovered in 2 days because H and I have a murder mystery party Saturday night so if we can't attend, the hosts (who write the whole mystery and create all the characters) will have to adjust things.
I'm having super strong period cramps. I am so happy I'm working from home so I can curl up in a ball until my next appointment. I'm really hoping the Advil kicks in. It's worse than normal.

FI and I had our first fight and we've been together a year and a half. It was a doozie, but we're on our way to sorting it out and I trust we can figure the rest of it out tonight. Before this, the only thing we've particularly disagreed about is mac and cheese. He thinks all mac and cheese is created equal, I believe there are different levels of mac and cheese and different occasions/needs call for different types.

We have an apple watch question in our house.
Just bought DD a new cellular apple watch. Bought it refurbished on amazon. She had one previously that we are still paying for the service on. When I set up her new watch it never asked me to set up her cellular plan, but when I call it works. The number associated with it is different and from a different area (Aiken, SC). Is it possible is still using the former owners cell plan?
I can't figure it out. It also won't let me add it to our existing plan. I'm so confused, but at the same time, its working, just a different phone number.

You are correct, he is wrong. Which leads me to believe you were right in this big fight, lol.
FI was traveling for work last week Mon-Thurs, and he was gone this week Mon-Thurs, as well. I have to pick him up at the train station this afternoon, and I am so glad he’s not going anywhere again for a while! I’m not used to him being gone since he travels so infrequently, and while a couple days were nice, I’m ready to him to back! I’m getting lonely here.
I tried the NY Times connections game this morning for the first time since I’ve been hearing more and more lately how insane it is, so my curiosity got the best of me. I got 2 categories correct. One was obvious, and the other I guessed at, but I thought the “group subject” or category, or whatever, was going to be something else, so I got it right by accident lol. After I saw that the category was, it made sense and I was like omg, duh at myself for not realizing it when I was doing the grouping. The other two? lol, wtf. GFY, connections. But I will still give it a shot again tomorrow, lol.

I love Connections! It takes playing a few times to get used to the types of categories they use. I often guess based on patterns with the words without really knowing what the category will be. The colors designate how "hard" they are (although I disagree sometimes). The purple is the hardest and is often a "fill in the blank" type, which bug me. I never get those. I usually get the other 3 and then get the 4th by default.
I also really like Strands! It was hard at first but has gotten easier the more I do it. I started out using the hints and this week I think I've gotten them all with no hints! It is weirdly gratifying.

What?! Kraft Mac & Cheese has it's place, but it's nowhere near homemade mac and cheese with real cheese and heavy cream, baked so it's crispy on top and gooey in the middle. Any "occasion" you serve mac and cheese at deserves the good stuff! Unless maybe the occasion is a child's birthday.
We ordered a $$ grill and it’s been weirdly stressful. We went with Home Depot because they said they would deliver it themselves like an appliance and would call to arrange delivery but then we didn’t get a call. It turns out it’s being sent via FedEx and may or may not be here today?
This is not something they can just leave on the lawn if no one is here! And it’s heavy! The other stores said it would be delivered via freight which has been an ordeal in the past so we were trying to avoid that. Customer service was really strange when we asked when it was being delivered and when and said they didn’t know?? We had screenshots of the order and delivery info they gave us.
Anyway, my husband is working from home today in case it does arrive—it shipped out today from NJ so who knows? Fingers crossed it at least gets here tomorrow because we have a class on Saturday. Like can’t something just be fun and low stress?

Do you have an Ace hardware nearby? We got our new grill from them and it was literally two employees from the store that brought it fully assembled.

That is what we had heard online from people who have the grill but we tried them and they said they don’t have it in stock locally (and never would) so it would be sent via freight, unassembled. I think they are all independently run (franchised?) so that might explain the difference. The Ace near us is really tiny. That would have been the dream! The rural Aces had it but wouldn’t deliver this far. But good idea, I think we will get the accessories there.

That is the same with us. Our Ace is very close to us and is awesome. MH bought the grill and on his way home went to Dunkin to grab a coffee and by the time he got home the 2 guys had delivered, removed the old grill and cleaned up the new one and were leaving.

I hate Home Depot. I feel like they will lie to make the sale. We ordered a fridge awhile back that they said was in-stock and could be delivered that week. The night before the delivery date we got a call that the fridge was out of stock and they had no clue when it would be in. Thankfully we were replacing an old fridge that still worked so we weren't in a super rush, but after 5 weeks of being told it would be in next week and then not we ended up cancelling the order, which itself was a nightmare

I truly think they do! I’d be even more livid if it was a fridge, we can do without a grill but they were so unpleasant to deal with. They kept telling us the opposite of what we had screen shots for!
Today is house cleaning day, normally she comes in the afternoon but wanted to come early today which works better since she'll be done before kid gets home from school but it's kind of throwing off my morning. Usually I know out laundry and a few things around the house Thursday mornings so I had to readjust. It's all fine but threw off my routine a bit.
The weather is finally warming up and our grass is so green and flowers are starting to come up and it looks so good! I was driving down the street home yesterday and it was striking how good our lawn looked compared to the others. Makes me grateful for how hard my H works on it because it looks awesome. I'm so ready for summer!!!
I have a problem with pineapples and I don't know how to solve it. I love love love them but they tear up my mouth. I had some fresh ones for breakfast this monring and now I'm paying for it.

I'm not sure there is a way to solve it, they're just so acidic. I love them too but the heartburn they give me is unreal.

Oh the heartburn is awful. I wish they didn't taste so good.

I had terrible heartburn toward the end of my pregnancy - to the point of getting a script for it and of the ONLY thing I craved my entire pregnancy was pineapple. The struggle was real
followyourarrow there are definitely levels of mac and cheese depending on the occasion! I have a batch with Velveeta, parm and cheddar in my freezer that I’m salivating over. Gonna have it this weekend at a family gathering. But a random Tuesday? Kraft Deluxe sharp cheddar. Feeding my kids and their friends- Aldi box blue knockoff.
I’m ready for the weekend because we don’t have much going on. No sports tonight and lunch with a friend tomorrow, it’s practically Saturday in my head!
We finished season 1 of True Detective. We watched season 4 first. I liked 4 better than 1.

Our washing machine has been brooken for over a week. We have a repair plan and the parts they ordered still didn't fix it. Now they are going to try to order another part that they don't make anymore. . .so I am looking at new washing machines.
keyslover, Team top loader, no agitator for life! I know some people think no agitator means your clothes don't get clean but that hasn't been our experience and I love it for larger items like blankets.

I cannot understand how all mac and cheese could be considered equal. Even if we're not talking about Easy Mac vs gourmet, which is so obviously different, even among from-scratch versions there's like quicky milk, cheese, pasta in a pot and then versions with mixes of fancy cheeses and delicious crunchy baked toppings.
Poor L was up for almost an hour in the middle of the night because he somehow got a ton of bug bites and was super itchy. And obviously poor H and I were up with him. It's been a very long morning already.
