I remember growing up, we always ate our McNuggets with honey as the dipping sauce. Does anyone still do that? I wonder if McD's even offers it anymore.
No one offers honey anymore but Chick-fil-A has honey available.
Speaking of candy... there were like orange or raspberry hard candies in circular tins that were the thing to have in middle school.
The crème savers? I bought them last Christmas for my kids stockings they were NOT impressed
Edit - saw the metal tin. I jumped to the wrong product, but I remember these too.
Altoids made other flavors that were like this, orange color and flavors like mango sour. I think there may have been other companies that made similar to complete. They were good!

Didn't the Ground Round also give you peanuts at the beginning of the meal?
I remember loving the Bill Knapps cake, TGIFridays fried cheese and potato skins. I also remember the Wendy's saiad bar with the toasted garlic buns.
Friendlys was the best!!! The peanut butter sundae was always perfect.
I remember Rax! I thought it was slightly better than Arbys. And I too loved the Olive Garden and now can't eat it.
We also always had the Entemans coffee cake.
And we went to the Pizza Hut buffett a lot. I always thought the personal pan pizzas were the perfect size and we got those free with the Book It program.

I remember the orange and strawberry candies in the little round tin. Sometimes they had a white (sugar?) coating. They were so good as they had a gooey center, but they always made my mouth hurt for some reason. I feel like I mostly found them at old fashioned candy shops, places near the beach or Ye Olde whatever history reenactment site was closest to your area (field trip candy).
Now I have to make a Seinfield reference about the Enteman's cake in place of the artifact cake.
Nesquick Banana milk powder. I loved it. I can still get it from Europe and hide it from my kids $$$$
There were also these huge shredded wheats that were so light and yummy. Best I can figure our base commissary in CA had a European market 😂
Light and fluffy shredded wheat was delicious. I have never been a cereal person, but that's one I could get behind. I think they used to make mini shredded wheat with a jam filling? Like maybe strawberry? Those were good as a snack.

I have mini shredded wheat in the cupboard right now - blueberry! I love it as a nighttime snack.

I was just talking to my kids the other day about that gum that had that weird gel like middle that was like a super burst of flavor that tasted the same as the gum but was some how better? I can't remember what it was called but I remember loving it.
My dad retired from SweetTomatoes/Souplantation in 2005 so you can imagine how often my family ate there. I'm sure I got sick of it, but I don't remember complaining about it. I could definitely eat some wonton chicken salad right now.

Aw, I just glanced through this thread, happened to see this, and it brought back such fond memories! My family went to Rax often when I was probably 4-6 years old. I remember getting a kids' meal that included a roast beef sandwich of some kind, an AMAZING chocolate chip cookie, and a little black pound puppy stuffed animal that I kept for at least a decade.

YES. I still dip them in honey.
I also loved their hot mustard. You can’t get it anymore.

Oh my gosh, yes! So many memories just came flooding back seeing this picture.

This also brought back memories for me! My grandmother used to take my brother and me there. I remember they had some kind of salad bar that also had dinner food like tacos, nachos, maybe baked potatoes? I can't remember what all was on it, but I LOVED it as a kid.

I saw someone say that the Great Value Southwest mustard is a dupe for the McDonalds hot mustard. I haven't tried it myself.

We can get hot mustard and honey at our McDonald's.
I'm surprised no one mentioned Kentucky Fried Chickens dessert Parfaits
We used to always get a bucket of Chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, cole slaw, biscuits and of course the chocolate pudding parfaits. I remember leaving the crust behind. lol
basilosaurus , yes! I used to love those candies in strawberry, and maybe orange?
Reminds me of these too, which apparently still exist but I have not seen IRL in years:
oh I liked these. Not enough to ever purchase, but in the retiree neighborhood where I grew up they'd be in my Halloween basket. It was that or quarters because they would forget to buy candy but didn't want us kids to be disappointed. Which we an adult makes me wonder how they could find so many quarters but not candy
