Aww, Rock, that doesn't make you a bad person at all. You guys have been looking forward to this for so long, and it's a tough position to be in. *hugs*
This is more vent than random, but I have to get it out: my husband has started getting up in the morning before I go to work at least a couple of times a week, and I hate it. Even when he goes to Starbucks and brings me coffee. He's around ALL THE TIME, and the morning was the only time I had 20 minutes to myself. But I also resent when he stays in bed til 10 am, so the poor guy can't win for losing. (Speaking of being a bad person, sigh.)
A more random thing: I am worried about Parks and Rec. It's my favorite comedy, but the first two episodes of this season haven't been all that funny. It nervouses me.
I bought Dove dark chocolate candies yesterday, and I am pretty sure I am going to sit here and eat the entire bag today. It's rainy and gross and I'm fed up with being here. Blerg.
I haaaaaaaaaate the early darkness. And it's all downhill from here until December.
I don't think you're a bad person for feeling that way about your MIL and your trip, Rock. Didn't she say she wants you guys to go, too? It's a tough situation all around, though. I'm thinking of you guys.
I gained 10 lbs over the past year so I put myself on a diet about a month ago. I have been tracking my calories and I'm pretty sure I was eating 2500+ calories a day before. :-| The good news is I am steadily losing weight now, but I definitely miss eating without thinking about every calorie. Sigh.

His job ended in April. No luck at all on the job hunt, unfortunately. He's been in touch with a recruiter about contract work, but so far all she's had is entry level stuff that pays less than he's making on unemployment. I'm starting to get nervous for him about the giant gap in his resume, but he's not concerned yet. I don't know why, and it's making me CRAZY. I just feel like we're stuck in this holding pattern, and I just want to move past it and get on with our lives. I hate my job, and I hate our apartment, but we're stuck until he finds something.
Wow, sorry. That turned really whiny. Really quickly. Oops.
I hear you on the tv thing. It seems like there's nothing to watch most nights, and then everything loads up on one or two days. But I was practically giddy when I looked at the dvr for Thursday night and there were SO MANY scheduled recordings, heh. It was a very long summer.
I tried Revolution but after two episodes I think I'm out. Too many fight scenes and the Charlie character is annoying.
I watched and liked The Mindy Project. I'm going to set my DVR to record it for the season.
Wednesdays are Survivor and RW/RR Challenge.
I'm trudging through the final season of The Office even though I'm kind of over it.
Fringe is back tonight! I love that show.
I started watching ANTM but kept forgetting to record it so I missed a few episodes.
Hmm, what else. I will watch Gossip Girl when it comes back. I'm thinking I'll try that country show with the girl from Heroes, blanking on both names. Nashville?
Is there anything else I should be watching? I feel like my DVR can handle a few more shows.

I liked The Mindy Project more than I thought I would. I *heart* Mindy Kaling, and I am pretty sure we'd be BFFs in real life, but I set my expectations pretty low for the show. I think it definitely has potential. I also liked Ben and Kate more than I thought I would. It's not laugh-out-loud hilarious, but it was a decent way to pass the time. The Tuesday Fox line-up seems fairly solid.
Otherwise, I'm thinking about trying that 666 show on Sunday, but I don't have any expectations. None of the other new shows are all that appealing to me.
I'm excited for Revenge*, Dexter, Homeland, and Suburgatory to come back. Oh, and 30 Rock. We're still watching the NBC Thursday shows, but The Office is barely tolerable (i haaaaaaaaaaaaaate Nellie), and Up All Night isn't very good, either.
* In our house, we call it "VENDETTA!" after that episode of the Simpsons when they go to Italy and Sideshow Bob's son keeps yelling, "VENDETTA! Vendetta for mi papa!"

Hi Ladies! I loved NCIS:LA (per usual).
My random is that I am so pissed at the bank doing our mortgage that I am going to scream. We are 3 months behind on building our house because we haven't been able to close yet and they do not return my phone calls. GAH!
That's frustrating, Countthestars Although you must be psyched that construction has finally started - I saw the foundation pics on FB, very exciting!
Thanks! We don't technically own the land yet :-| it belongs to my uncle and he was anxious to get started because he is confident that we'll be able to close. Hope it gets rolling from here!
