oh god yes another refi question

How many months of payments do you traditionally skip with a refi? 1? 2? I am thinking I should put the extra in our roth to max us out for the yr.

I've done two refis, and both times we skipped one payment. Props for doing something smart with your unexpected cash flow! That sounds like a good plan.

Lol thanks. This board is really teaching me how to make good financial decisions. I figured rather than spend it on a vacay or something splurgelike it is a double bonus to use it for something that is going to reduce my tax liability and contribute to retirement fund.

1--because if you close say October 15th, your first mortgage payment will be due December 1
