I wore my new boots yesterday and they rubbed at the back of my heel a ton. I could barely walk by the time I got home. When I finally took them off I could see that a half dollar sized amount of skin was gone from my heel. I can barely put weight on it today and it is crazy painful to touch it. Has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix it? Putting a band aid on it has done nothing, and I am kinda worried about it getting infected...

DH got a wicked spot on his heel after golfing for two days straight in shoes he's never broken in. We got some of the medicated pads at the grocery store. We cleaned it good (much to his dismay) then put the pad on it. It healed in a matter of days.
I think they will be fine, they are just new and rubbed me wrong. I felt for out of place seems and I couldn't feel anything too bad, they just need to soften up some. I walked a crapload after it hurt so I think thats why it got so bad.

I am way too in love with them to return them.
yeah, I think you're fine. leather softens over time and they'll break in. maybe just wear a bandaid whenever you wear them for a while.
I don't know why you would return them over something like that...
