I wanted most of her length kept, but just trimmed. And I really wanted them to keep the little "terrier hairs" by her eyes, but just trim them a tiny bit so that she didn't get poked in the eye. They didn't do either.
I might be able to give her a trim, but I don't trust myself clipping her nails.
UW, have you tried a dremmel? I don't use clippers on my dogs because I've cut the quick one too many times. The dremmel is way easier, and as long as you introduce it slowly, so much better, in my opinion. Clippers tend to leave pretty rough edges, where as the dremmel gets them nice and smooth. Not such an issue with our 13 lb labradoodle, but with the 45 lb lab we need those nails as smooth as we can get so she doesn't gouge our wood floors!
