How was everyone's weekends? Did everyone stay dry? Anything fun planned for the week ahead?
Friday night, I ducked out of work a little early. We were supposed to go to the gym, but instead, we got take-out and drank copious amounts of wine. Saturday morning, we planned to go to the outlets, so I got up and rushed to get ready, then we went to the diner for breakfast on our way. However, my husband was too hung over and felt like death, so we went home instead. ^o) Saturday night was our anniversary dinner at Craigie. The food was delicious, but there was way too much of it. I was stuffed before I'd eaten half my entree. That'll learn me to get pasta as an app. I still managed to eat most of my cheesecake, though.
Yesterday, we finally made it to the gym, and hit up the grocery store It was so gross out, I didn't want to leave the couch. Or put on actual pants.
This week, I think we're going to scoot over to the outlets after work one night. I don't want to go near them on a holiday weekend, plus I leave on Sunday morning for a work trip. Friday night, we have tickets to the Morrissey show in town, but otherwise, we are boooring, heh.
We had a rough weekend. Had to fly out to AZ last minute again on Saturday morning at the urging of MIL's oncologist. She was weak but lucid when we got to her bedside and DH was able to chat with her, make her laugh, etc. She said she was happy and was going home and a few hours later passed away comfortably.
We're a little overwhelmed now with all the arrangements and logistics that need to be taken care of but are trying to deal day by day. DH is doing OK, though hurting.
I am so, so sorry. I am so glad that you were able to be with her and that she was laughing and said she was happy. Lots of love to you both. Please let me know what I can do to you once you're home. I'd be happy to cook for you guys, help address thank you cards, help with anything at all. HUGE HUGS.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Rock. I'm glad she went peacefully and you and your husband were able to be there. You guys will be in my thoughts. And please please just say the word if you need anything.
Friday we drove forever to PA to a Celtic fest. I stayed at the hotel while DH went to hear some music.
Saturday DH went to an event while I spent the day with DD and MIL. Good times.
Sunday we made one more circuit through the festival and headed home.
This week is more or less quiet. DD has preschool M-W. Our anniversary is today, and we ordered a nice dinner from Not Your Average Joes. DD is is mid-meltdown, but she'll be over it soon. I've been walking at a local park on preschool days and met the most fun group of old guys and their dogs. It's the highlight of my week
Don't worry Rock, I didn't do anything fun this weekend anyway. I came down with a cold on Friday so I was blowing my nose and drinking tea all weekend.
