Mold on Birks

I feel like such a dirty hippie.

I just pulled my birks out of storage for the summer. Much to my surprise the soles were covered in a thin layer of mold. I got the shoes clean, but should I be worried about humidity in the under-mattress storage part of my bed? WTF should I do? Mierda, as they'd say here! It's constantly ridiculously humid here.

only thing we could do to try to keep the mold at bay was put a little de-humidifier in our closet.

Stuff doesn't get moldy, but all my clothes still smell like my grandmas basement.

ETA: WHy is some days my siggy picture shows up and some days it doesn't. Or can everyone see it but me?

I can see it right now. But if your internet is like ours... it doesn't load everything sometimes. Pisses me off. But at $20 a month I just have to deal.

Have you tried the little pellet-filled containers?

Have you tried the little pellet-filled containers?

Too expensive. We have to empty the dehumidifier every day as it is.
