Size down one size and it definitely hides a pooch like the define. It's a little to long for technical wear but I like that it covers my butt for casual wear.
Hi Mav! Hopefully I can help, I have three In Stride (didn't realize until I thought about it... eek) and 2 define jackets. The Define jackets seem more fitted, lighter and hide the pooch a little better than the In Stride. The In Stride tend to be a little warmer (also depends on the color, I have a black one that is much warmer than the other two) and have a little more to them. I think they each have their own purpose and work better with different things. I like the In Stride a lot better with tighter bottoms since it can sit lower and cover you booty if you need it to.
I've worn both of them to work out in as a cover up until I got warmer and they work great for that, either of them. I would try one on and see what you think. Be warned you'll fall in love.
I think the In Stride is just as flattering as the define but definitely in a different way. I have a little pooch too that I'm hyper aware of and make sure anything I wear doesn't accentuate said pooch....

Thanks Mav!! Wish I could! You could always lOok for a studio w teacher training and see what a private with a student would be!
Also some good news on that front: one of my fellow teachers that I've been Practice teaching has a friend I've met a few times and because my fellow teacher friend is almost done with her hours, I'm going to give her friend privates! She wants to come a few times a week and has no prob paying! She asked me to do it! So I'm relieved with that!

Mav, I remember (at least I'm pretty sure it was you) didn't get they hype of LLL. I remember thinking, "hmm Mav likes high quality so I think she would really like LLL."
Welcome to the dark side
I always thought the Define looked "meh" online for the last 2 years, but I bought 2 in the last 3 months! The fit is SO flattering!
I have a stride one as well, and like others, I like that it covers me butt. I also wear it to/from class, but I have used it for working out as well (which I feel like not too many people do, but I had no issues with it.)

I don't have the In Stride jacket, but have 3 Scuba Hoodies that I adore. When I was doing classes in colder temps, Imd wear them to and from instead of a coat. I actually got a removable sleeve one from DH for Christmas last year and wore it in the Bend since it was warmer than my pea coat. I use that one for archery practice since I can undo a couple of buttons on the shoulder to vent the jacket and get better movement to shoot. I love those hoodies with jeans to take out the niece and nephew or run errands when I know it's to cool for a windbreaker and I don't want the bulk of a coat. They are incredibly flattering and comfortable. The material is thicker than the really old Jansports or Galt Sands.
I'm planning a New Year's haul at my favorite location. I'd love some suggestions.
