Somehow I got suckered into doing an after school activity...he used the tactic of not really asking....I said "maybe I could do something like _____, I'll have to think more about it" and then he said, "Great, I'll need you to write a description and have it sent to so and so by tomorrow" ......that kind of tactic.
Anyway, I guess I volunteered myself to do an ASL group....I took two years in high school and I still remember most of it.
Really, it's going to be kind of fun, but there is no additional pay for it like there would be in the states and I have to stay until 5pm and take the bus home with kids....so I am only a little reluctant.
Anyway, I am paging you because he suggested maybe I could contact some Deaf people from the states and we could do like a Skype conference of sorts and just communicate in sign. I was trying to think about how I may set something like this up....and was thinking of contacting my high school. And then I remembered you.
Do you know anyone, can be kids or adults, that might be interested in doing some sort of short Skype conference with some kids in Egypt? Do you know of any children's Deaf organizations or anything of the sort? Like I said, it could even be adults. It wouldn't be for several months as we haven't even started and we will need time for them to learn some basic greetings and conversational language.
If you have any ideas, I would really appreciate it!

Let me talk to my BILs and see. I'm sure they'd be happy to help. Also, I can ask my FSIL, and there's also someone else I can talk to about helping (she teaches at a deaf school if I'm not mistaken - she's hearing, though, so she might be your best contact). I'll do some Facebook messaging. Can you PM me your email? I'll be in touch soon.
