and less than an hour after I left I got an offer! I countered and we made a deal this morning and I signed it!
It's been a few months of me leaving my job, almost taking a job in LA then turning it down, stepping up to full time at the boutique I work at, and now I will be starting a "real" job again in 4 weeks. Oh yeah and we are moving to BOSTON. I am so excited! Black suit was the right choice ladies!
Now to debate my first day of work outfit for the next month!
Thanks!! My H and I both went to school in Boston so we are pumped to move back! I will be working in sales for a healthcare software company. I LOVE Boston, but have no clue what part to live in. In college we lived downtown but now our priorities are a different and we want parking, some outdoor space, in unit laundry is a must, etc. We might live out in Brookline or Charlestown? SOOO much to do in the next 4 weeks!

Congrats! Let me know if I can help you at all with your Boston questions! Charlestown and Brookline are both great choices. Southie is where most of my friends my age (late 20s, early 30s live) and it has a lot of great things to offer.

Do you live in Boston? I know the areas downtown really well from going to school there but am clueless as to which areas outside "downtown" we should be looking at. We are going up on Sunday just to drive around in circles and see which neighborhoods we like.

I do. Driving around is a great idea. If you have an idea of budget (are you renting?) I can give you an even better idea of where might be good places to look. But for starters, for great non-downtown neighborhoods, I'd suggest Southie, Jamaica Plain, many parts of Somerville, Coolidge Corner, Charlestown, and Lower Mills. Deeded parking can be tough if you're not living in a big building and yards are obviously hit or miss.

Thanks! Under $3k a month would be ideal, and we want a 2 bedroom, hardwoods are a must, in unit laundry, 1 deeded parking space, and ideally a single or multi family home with some small yard space for our dog. We also want to be able to walk to things as much as possible. We are looking at a few places in Newton and Coolidge Corner and I have also been looking at Charlestown. Let me know if you have any further suggestions! Oh and my office is going to be in Watertown so not too far of a drive from there:)

Ah, I assumed you were working in the city. I think Watertown itself is actually pretty cute and affordable. Also close to there are Waltham and Belmont, both of which have a lot of multi-family houses that would definitely be in your price range. Charlestown will obivously be harder to find yard/parking; it's a pretty expensive neighborhood.
Congrats! And welcome to the neighborhood! (another Boston girl here... well, Arlington, to be exact). Are you considering Cambridge? Huron Village is cute and pretty convenient to Watertown (depending on where in Watertown you'll be.)
