I think we might be moving! literally 2 blocks away from where we are now, lol. Reason: they're raising the rent again ($40 last year, $100 this year) and while we love it, it's just not worth it (no w/s/g included, extra fee for w/d, and pay for parking). We have a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier that I will seriously miss, and a great front office that will deliver packages. I'd rather save the money for something else though.
at first we thought we would move to be closer to H's work, but nothing showed up so we decided to stay. Then we realized that the quote for the new rent they first gave us didn't have all the fees added on so when they redid it, we realized it was going to be really high. So H got re-interested in moving and since he has vacation right now worked on it.
He looked all over, and then found a place 2 blocks away that we really like. It's a condo being rented out by a young couple who just had a baby. For less than what we would be paying if we stayed, we have parking, w/s/g, w/d in unit and my favorite: a small porch! The bedrooms are a little smaller (which mostly matters because of how we have our office set up now), but the overall size is about the same. Anyway, just thought I'd ramble for a bit
also, now we'll have to deal with the cats again, bleh. We think we might move the girl first and give them each a separate space to start out. any thoughts? hoping to see if we can 're-set' their relationship or something, lol. things have improved a lot and she's not as afraid of him, but he is like a moth to a flame, he will not leave her alone.
andplusalso, I forgot that we get a storage space! it's an extra $50 where we live now (so we don't have it), and it will be SO nice to not have to cram everything into the actual apartment *cough H's golf clubs cough*
Sounds really nice!! OOO, I hope the fireplace is REAL. I rented a condo once and it had a fireplace...that was a stupid electronic picture: no heat even. It was lame and took up valuable living room space.
