I am heading to visit Paris and London in November. I need help with my packing list please.
I'm planning to bring a waterproof jacket, two pairs of riding boots (brown and black - I may end up wearing one pair on the plane), jeans, leggings and sweaters.
I will leave on a Saturday and return the following Sunday. I'm figuring I will need at least nine outfits including outfits for the plane each way.
I have recently lost weight so my winter wardrobe is lacking. I am trying to figure out what I will need to buy for the trip.
I have:
2 pair of leggings 1 pair of skinny jeans 1 pair of boot cut longer jeans (I typically wear with heels) 1 pair of straight leg jeans
I still need to inventory sweaters/long sleeve shirts I can bring.
I'm jealous of your trip! Definitely wear one pair of boots when you fly. Leaves room for more goodies Your list sounds good but if you're doing walking I would probably bring at least one pair of comfortable shoes, even if they're not as stylish. Also I would work on one dressier outfit for dinner. Nothing fancy, but LBD with boots would do well. Scarves also are easy to pack and can change up your look.
You will definitely want comfortable walking shoes in Paris. The city is huge and there is a lot to see. I would think you'd also want a decent coat for Paris in November.
Also, I like to layer on planes because it can get hot and then cold. So, maybe wear a tank or short sleeved shirt under a sweater on the plane.
I agree with Etoile on the scarves and a nicer dinner outfit.

Where are you coming from? I've been to London in November and February (twice) and coming from New York, it wasn't any different from what I'd be wearing at home. If anything, it was a touch warmer there.

I'm coming from the DC area. That's helpful to know. I just want to make sure I'm warm since even at home I don't spend hours walking around outside. Lol!
I would bring knee high leather boots, definitely wear them on the plane to save luggage space. Wear layers to adapt to the outside and inside temps. Wear a nice coat, shoes, scarf, purse, because you will take a lot of pictures outside. Bring a thicker scarf and gloves, just in case. I like (cotton or silk) knits because they don't bulk up when you layer and they are so easy to pack (no wrinkles and they take little space).
I have a thorough packing list for this type of trip if you're interested. It's in this thread:
I was all over Europe last November (amsterdam, prague, munich, salzburg, vienna, budapest, and paris) and it was super cold to me (but I am from GA). It was 9 days of dreary cold weather. But I packed everything in a carry-on bag only and reused all my outfits. I brought 2 pairs of jeans for the whole trip, about 5 shirts, 1 pair of sneakers, pajamas, and wore my cold boots and jacket on the plane. I'd encourage re-wearing to save luggage space.
London is very rainy and if the wind picks up the weather gets very raw. I ended up living in my rain boots (SIL called them wellies) for the entire week we were there (back in March). I ended up buying extra socks and gloves because the raw weather made my hands and feet very cold.
