Some of my favorite work snack were carrot sticks and guacamole. apples and peanut butter*, celery and peanut butter. Do you like cream cheese? It's more like yogurt than cheese really. Cream cheese is good with celery or crackers.
*If you don't like peanut butter, Biscoff Spread or Trader Joe's Cookie Butter (they're essentially the same thing) is great with apples.
Too bad you don't like cheese - I have a low-fat string cheese stick almost every afternoon and it fills me up until dinner.
Do they have to be portable snacks for at work/school, or will you be at home? I love this green monster smoothie recipe, but use less OJ and add greek yogurt for protein: www.annies-eats.com/2011/05/02/green-monster-smoothies/
Whole grain popcorn is pretty good, or maybe some trail mix (although it has nuts).
I work from home too. If you like the smoothie idea, also think about things like gazpacho. I've made it for dinner a few times this summer, and if theres a little leftover, I store it in the fridge still in the blender. Sometimes it starts to separate a little, or just needs an extra tomato thrown in to make it last another day or two, so I can just give whiz, and pour myself a cup.
I also like cereal. Play with the portions, the brand, and the kind of milk you put on it, but you can easily create a filling snack in the 100-200 cal range.
Do you like olives? I find that 10 or so olives (the good kind from the fancy olive bar section of the grocery store) can be pretty satisfying. Olive tapenade spread on crackers or pita is also good.
I looove olives, but don't find them that filling on their own. Tapenade is easy to make though and I have a ton of kalamata olives in the fridge. Serving it with crackers is a good idea.
I'm not too worried about calorie content, so higher calorie is fine, it's really just more that I want to avoid junk food.
These are some really good ideas. I'm making my grocery list.
I love having bananas around, and if they start to look like we won't eat them all we cut them up and freeze them for smoothies. Also, oatmeal is really filling, especially if I add an egg to it. This sounded gross to me until I tried it.

Like a scrambled egg? Raw egg that you cook with the oatmeal? I've never heard of this.
I always just eat fruits or vegetables as snacks. They are easy to change up, many have fiber and they usually don't require much prep. People generally eat too much protein anyway so don't worry about pairing them with protein if you don't like nuts and cheese.
Oh if you're at home, definitely smoothies. I'll also sometimes have half a bowl of cereal as a snack.
The tapenade idea is a great one. And if you like olives, a scoop of various items from the olive bar is a great snack. Olives, marinated mushrooms, roasted red peppers, the fresh mozzarella balls (if you like them). etc. with crostini. I have that for lunch sometimes.
Sa, sorry I just saw this... Yes you mix in a raw egg with the oats and then cook as usual, though the oatmeal needs less liquid if you add an egg. For example, I will mix 1/2cup of raw oats with one egg, then add 1/2cup of milk or water or a combo and microwave on low for 5 minutes. If I have more time then I'll make it on the stove. The egg cooks but it isn't scrambled, it merely adds a creaminess and thickness that is difficult to describe. Like I said earlier I thought it sounded gross but it really is good. It doesn't taste like the oatmeal has an egg in it.
harpy- I do actually like mozzarella cheese and haloumi (basically the cheese has to be incredibly mild), but I really dislike most types of cheese. Goat cheese is not for me.
Yogurt bits cook some yogurt balls in the oven for a little bit, taste like candy Frozen yogurt w/ granola Yogurt w/ granola Granola with berries Smaller meals, chicken w/ veggies protein muffins
The Skinny Pop pocorn that they sell at Whole Foods is quite good.
I have an ongoing problem with this popcorn. When a bag is opened in my presence, I cannot stop eating it. The day I discovered the giant size bag they sell at Costco was a bad day. Fortunately it's pretty low in calories and fat.
