Something you love/want that you'd gift to others?

A good friend of mine just turned 30, and I am completely blank on gift ideas.

We typically give each other random, fun things -- for my birthday she gave me this body wrap from Origins: www.origins.com/product/4200/19634/Great-Gifts/Price/Under-55/Heart-Warming-Hug/index.tmpl But our gifts have run the gamut from DVDs and books to food to purses/accessories to NSYNC action figures (hey, we were in high school).

What is something that you currently have/use and adore or, in the alternative, something that you'd like to receive as a gift from someone else? Price range is around $50.

I would give my friend a spa GC and then go with her. Or treat her to lunch and a pedicure.

A client sent me a huge cookie bouquet once, from a local cookie shop. It was awesome.

Some good birthday gifts I just got - Freakonomics set, magnetic nail polish, pumpkin-scented bath products from Etsy, and fancy scarves.

If you have a lot of pictures, and haven't done any photo things recently, how about a photo book?

What about a nice unique necklace from etsy. my go to though is lunch and manicures. There is nothing like girl time with your best friend.

I gave my dad a selection of cheese for his birthday. I would love for someone to give me cheese as a gift.

Definitely something edible! One of my best friend's always sends me a box of my favorite chocolates at holidays. I'd love special chocolates, cookies, edible arrangements...anything I wouldn't normally buy for myself.

Or you could just send her some Biscoff cookies. Yum. My mouth waters everytime you post

I usually don't buy these things for people because tastes vary so much.

Thanks for all the ideas!!! I live in a different state than my friend, so sadly the spa/manicure days are not doable -- I wish they were! A spa gift certificate is a good idea though.

I also really like the Birchbox idea, but their "wait time for an invite" for a gift subscription is 4 weeks! But I will put that one on my ongoing list of gift ideas for Christmas/next year!
