DH and I will try to watch a bit, but we have other shows in mind if it is boring. We definitely just want to see someone stumble/mess up rather than expect something brilliant and new to be revealed. Definitely wish it were on a Friday night so we could do the drinking game option
We always watch, and our minds are pretty much always made up. But tonight we're going to see Louis CK tonight so we'll have to miss it. We're DVRing it and will watch it either tonight when we get home or tomorrow.
I am pretty sure I have made up my mind, but I will probably watch. I am upset that they did not allow Gary Johnson participation in the debate. I think it awful that the government and media are doing every thing they can to keep this a 2 party country. And yes, I believe they are working together. But I will watch a little.
I agree that it sucks that Johnson was not allowed to participate, but there are a number of other third party candidates as well, including a bunch that are only on the ballots in a couple of states. So I get that you've got to draw the line somewhere. IIRC, parties that get over 5% of the popular vote can participate in the next presidential debate. Which I think is how Ross Perot managed to participate in the debates back in 92.
I know in the past, Ralph Nader has organized debates for third party candidates. Not sure if that still happens.

Oh I agree. But Johnson is on the ballot in 47 states. I know it is not all 50, but its pretty close. That is why I mentioned him specifically and not Cynthia McKinney (whom I cannot stand) and others.
I hope their is a 3rd party debate.
Cynthia McKinney isn't running for president. Jill Stein is the Green Party candidate, and the Green Party typically gets on the ballot in 40+ states. I think Rocky Anderson (Justice Party) is on the ballot in a bunch of states too.
But I just googled and apparently debate participation is only given if your party gets 15% of the popular vote, not 5%. That is INSANE and needs to change.
I love being on the west coast for watching live national events. Because I sure as hell wouldn't be staying up to watch.
Really? I'm pissed. My H doesn't get home from work until 7 on a good night. He wants me to wait for him to get home. But I like to watch it live so I can dish with CEP and text message my friend in DC while it's going on. So I have to watch it twice. I am that lame.

You gotta watch it live. I agree. There are certain things that you just can't watch recorded. DH & I are both off work by 4 typically, so early works for us.
