WHY do I check my work e-mail from home?

It always ends up just pissing me off. I just checked it now b/c I wanted to see if I was scheduled for an additional meeting tomorrow that was being talked about before i left. (I don't wotk Wednesdays) So of course in doing so I find an irritating message from my supervisor. I was going to describe it here, but that would make my post long and boring, so we'll just leave it at "Ugghhh, what was I thinking?"

People in the same position as me laugh at me when I answer my phone after work hours. They have learned to avoid.

I can totally relate! If I leave work "early" (you know, after a 10 hour day) and check my email before bed I often have 70+ emails and one is bound to piss me off. I sleep much better when I ignore it.

Ugh, I'm with you. I'll check for one specific thing and end up seeing an email that pisses me off for the rest of the day. Just happened on Tuesday...
