I broke my leg 3 months ago and though walking more now, I'm stuck in a boot for quite a while still. So I have to stick with flats on the other foot...
I've been wearing Toms and ballet flats almost exclusively, though neither provide much support for the foot/leg carrying most of my weight. 98% of my shoes are heels so I need to buy something to get me through the next few months at least.
What flats would you wear? Are boat shoes still in style? What about oxfords? What would you wear with dress pants/dresses?
I always think of boat shoes as a summer shoe style, but that could just be my opinion. You could wear ballet flats with dress pants and dresses. I wear flats all the time with everything.
I was in a boot for nearly 5 months due to some foot surgery and, I know this isn't stylish, but I wore a sneaker on the other foot. I figured that I had enough problems with the boot that I couldn't risk the other foot getting strained or hurt.
It has been a couple of years since my surgery but my walking cast wasn't flat. I had to wear a particular shoe because that had the right heel height to match the cast height.
