Thanks to all of you I picked up a bottle of Hair One at Sally's today (on sale for $19 from $27). I was reading the package and it said to use 5-7 pumps and specific methods for application... do you follow this or just apply like any other shampoo/conditioner?
I just massage it into my hair and scalp. I leave it in for at least a couple of minutes, the longer the better. I start off with 2 big pumps each for the front, top and ends. I add more if I need it. Once you use it a few times, you will figure how much you will need. It's not exact.
Most important, rinse really well. I love my shower head that I can move around, perfect for close up rinsing.
I found that with my fine hair, which is also pretty short, that I didn't need as much product as called for on the bottle.
I do rinse my hair well with water first and massage my scalp for about 30 seconds. Then I put a big glob of Hair One on my hand. I'm not sure how many pumps, but the amount is maybe the size of 1.5 golf balls. I massage this directly onto my scalp and roots and massage vigorously for about a minute. Then I spread some of the product down to my roots and leave it on my hair while I shower. Then rinsing it out is the very last thing I do in the shower. I am certain to rinse very well, including more vigorous massage of the scalp to get all of it out.
It doesn't take as long as my description sounds.
After you try it, be sure to let us know what you think!

Every time I wash, but I'm able to go longer between washes since I started using Hair One. I wash every third day. I use a little dry shampoo on day 2 if needed.
