Our AT&T contract is up in September. I keep seeing TMobile pay as you go plans, and it looks like they have a data/texting plan that would be well within our usage needs with 100 mins of voice(we never call people lol) for $30 a month! That would be $60 for two lines, and we're paying $130 right now!
I'm seeing on their website that you can just get a sim card for iphones, but when you click the link it says it's for GSM phones. Is that the same thing? Has anyone switched from AT&T to TMobile and used their same iphone? I feel like this would save us even more if we didn't have to buy new phones to switch. Does anyone have experience with this? I'm going to call them Monday but just figured I'd throw it out there and see if anyone else had done it.

Update: I just called them, and yes, it is that simple. They mail you a sim card from their network that you switch out, and then you can pick a plan(including prepaid) on their network using your already paid for phone. I might even find out how much we'd lose to break our contract early, because this will be an awesome amount of savings!
Yeah AT&T and T-Mobile are compatible for the phones, but Verizon I believe has a different type of network which is why people had to "jailbreak" iPhones before Verizon could sell them.

You'll need to have your iPhone unlocked first or it won't accept a non AT&T sim card. If your contract is up with AT&T, they'll do it for free now, you just have to call them.
