Or so says Facebook. Has anyone else had this problem? Happened to DH, my BIL, and several friends. Facebook says they "like" Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan without them doing it. And it is actually on their page. With DH he had to go into his Recent Activities and unlike it to get rid of it.
It may have also happened to my brother. His page says he likes Mitt Romney. He is generally an independent voter so it may be true, but he rarely uses Facebook and despises when people use it for policital things to I doubt he would broadcast his political leanins (I emailed him to let him know in case it is some sort of hacking thing).
Seems a little odd that this keeps happening, and that it is so one sided. Conspiracy?

Just heard back from my brother and Facebook did it to him too.
LL, what do you mean by this is a FB thing? Have you heard of others having this problem or do you know if it is someone accessing their account? Seems really shady and I'm wondering how it keeps happening!

And LL, I hope that didn't come across with an accusatory tone because it wasn't meant to! I was just looking for more clarification because I find this really annoying.

That was how someone else explained it too, but DH actually had to go into his activity log and "unlike" Mitt Romney. So did my brother. So his page somehow really did like it without his knowledge or permission. I'm starting to really dislike facebook in general.
my guess is that he might've accidentally clicked on something that made him like it....possibly reading a news article that said "like" in it, and if he clicked on it, it went to MR instead of the article...or something.
i haven't known anyone to have this problem before, but that's just little ole me.

That could be how it happened. Which doesn't make me feel any better about FB and just points out how intertwined everything is and how easily random information can be put out there for others.
The weird thing is though DH never stays logged into Facebook. He'll log in, check it, and log out. I rarely remember to log out so since we share a computer you'd think if one of us was reading a news article it would have shown up on my page and not his.
