So I am halfway through C25K and it's supposed to start raining. Blargh. I don't want to stop running because if I do, I know I won't start up again and I've got some good momentum going. I'm looking into buying a weather shield for the Bob jogging stroller, but what about me? I have a hat, but do I need anything else in particular? How do you run with your iphone? Do I need extra layers? A sweater? Different shoes? Socks? :-) Thanks!

I've found that I make better time when it's raining just because I don't want to be out in it. I haven't bothered with any special gear for it because it hasn't been that cold yet.

I run in the rain a lot (live in Seattle) but it isn't usually a heavy rain or a cold rain. I run in my normal shoes and socks, although if I had a spare pair of shoes and it was supposed to rain hard I'd maybe use those. I don't run with an iPhone, but I do use a iPod Nano and running watch. I just have my Nano in my waist band of my shorts/pants so it doesn't get too wet. For your iPhone you could get one of those water proof spibelts.
I don't normally wear extra layers unless it is pouring, then I'll wear a running jacket. Other than that I just wear what I normally would for the temperature (and all my running clothes are non-cotton). Oh, and if it's raining hard I'll wear a visor.
Make sure you only use the Bob weather shield in colder weather. I think they advise under 65, but even that seems a bit toasty.
I don't do or wear anything different, except I don't carry my ipod. I rarely carry my phone anyway. If it is pouring I'll use my hat, but in a drizzle I don't bother.
As long as it's not freezing, running in the rain can be nice and refreshing. Just make sure you have a cap with a bill or a visor to keep the rain out of your face. And Body Glide to prevent chafing. When you get home, take steps to make your shoes dry out, like stuffing them with newspapers or just not storing them in a damp area or whatever.
Oh and definitely no cotton clothing or socks. I usually leave my phone at home if it's raining hard.
I wear a Gore Tex rain jacket (and put my ipod in its pocket) if it's really raining, and a baseball style hat to keep the rain out of my eyes if it's anything more than misting. That's about it.

I wear a hate and if the wind is chilly but not jacket weather yet I use a light fleece to keep most of the water off me. Oh, and I also wear contacts instead of my normal glasses.

So where does the body glide go? Inbetween your thighs? If I don't normally have an issue with chafing, would I have one if I get wet? (this conversation is sounding a lot dirtier than I'm intending it too)...
I live in the Bay Area, so it doesn't get too cold when it's raining; the rain shield would mostly be to keep the rain out of the stroller and off the baby. My guess is if I do get the shield I'll just dress her normally and not put any blankets on her so she doesn't overheat in there.
And I'm horrible. I have to run with my iphone. It has the C25K program on it, all of my music and I feel naked without it. LOL. :-)
Thanks for all the replies ladies, super helpful! :-)

I do inner thighs and under my upper arms. Rain changes everything. :-)
I also put body glide on my inner thighs and under arms in the rain. I put my phone in a ziplock bag, and wear a hat with a brim. I used to live in Oregon where the rain was more enjoyable, but now in New Mexico, it rarely rains but when it does it pelts you!
We've run in the pouring rain. The best advice I got from here was to wear a cap, it keeps the water out of your face. The only time I wouldn't run in the rain was if it was an electrical storm or high winds, otherwise give it a go!
