I've always thought it was "row-day-o" as well, but then again, I also thought it was "ralph law-ren" instead of "lore-en" so I'm really not a good benchmark.
Were the designers American or non-American that pronounced it rodeo?
Houston is a word that has different pronunciations even withing the US, so if the designers were American, they don't know this particular pronuniciation?
No they were All-American designers at NY Fashion week!!!
Houston. Great thought. Spending so much of my life in NYC that fact that Houston St. is pronounced different than the Texas city is not even a second thought, it is like they are 2 different words. It does help ID the tourist though!!!
It's Row-day-oh. There's another street on the Westside, same spelling, pronounced Row-dee -oh. You really can't confuse the two. Row-dee-oh is a complete sh!t hole near the freeway.
I accidentally went to rodeo on the crap side when I was looking for the real Rodeo Dr. Talk about extreme to the next lol
