She claims that a company she sent her photo to, to promote their product on her blog and in their catalog, photoshopped her face.
I see the obvious coloration difference and some shading, which the company claims they did to make it read more "fall", and of course the gradation issues from print vs. online image. But I really don't see the difference in her face that she seems to be pretty upset about.
I guess I can't really tell. But I wonder if the editing of the colors/shading made those tiny differences or if they really did try to change her face. I seriously cannot tell.
I agree Mav, and I think the image in question is also an iPhone picture of the catalog picture, so it's even harder to tell.
The GIF helps, I can see how the nostrils are hidden with the "new nose" now.
I'm honestly not sure how I would feel if that had been done to me, whether I'd brush it off as "whatever", or whether I'd be a little hurt about it. It may have been due to them highlighting her face due to the lighting and not completely intentional, because side by side it's hard to tell. I don't know what I would expect to hear from the company though that would make it any better.
I immediately noticed a very different nose. That said, I think she is seriously overreacing and that it's weird she even contacted them about it in the first place. She signed a document giving them permission to alter the photo. She then approved their photo, but apparently did not look closely enough when she approved it. I think a normal reaction would have been, hey, look at that, they gave me a different nose. And if that bothers her, then chalk it up as a lesson learned, and don't ever allow her image to be used in the future. Contacting them about it just seems silly.
I do also think it's weird that the company denies it. The change is obvious. Plus, they had the right to make the change, so why deny it?
ETA: It looks like the photo with the photoshopped nose is the tiny one they used just of her face at the beginning of the catalogue. Her actual nose is in the larger photo where they show the bag she is modeling. So weird.
At first I didn't notice it either when I was reading her post yesterday, but then the more I looked I started to see it and then was like "whoa, that IS different".
I think she's making a big deal out of it as her way of 'fighting back' against using photoshop to make women look unnatural, which gives girls an unreal standard etc. I don't think it's as much about her being personally hurt, but the fact that society would think her real nose isn't pretty (plus the fact that they wouldn't admit to it).
Either way, it's weird that they ended up using her 'real' face for the big picture!

Is it just the nose? The nose is very obvious, but I think her mouth also looks slightly smaller and her eyes look a little perkier. Maybe that's just the coloring difference, though.
I can see why she's be annoyed. It's one thing to cover a zit or stray hairs another completely to change a nose. There is no point to it other than to suggest she doesn't look fine as she is. (Which is not true at all. She looks great.)
Darn, who am I thinking of? I thought it was on her blog but maybe it was a pic of a friend of hers.
Oh, poor Meagan about trying hard to have a baby.
yeah, and I think she has a great attitude about it - very honest, but she also is trying to be thankful for what she has and not letting it consume her. I really admire her and hope I can be as gracious if I'm ever going through that.
I do have a vague memory of the blog you're referring to, but can't remember who it is either!
In this instance, she didn't send in her photos as a model, she sent it in because they wanted major bloggers, real life "known" people. It's not the same.
