Over the last few years, short winter days have really started getting to me. It's dark pretty early in the evening already, and I'm dreading the "fall back" when it will be dark even earlier.
I try to keep busy/active in the evenings to keep my mind off it, but I still feel pretty down.
I struggle with this as well. I get so depressed when it's dark when I leave for work in the morning, and dark when I'm on my way home. I try to get outside for a little bit during the day (quick walk at lunch or something) as long as the weather is decent, which helps.
I've never tried those lamps that people sometimes use.
i have a sad light. it helped me SO MUCH a few years ago. i haven't used it much in the last year or two, but i definitely recommend them. doesn't flexie have one, too?
I have a sun light too. It was the Happy Light brand on Amazon. It made a HUGE difference when I lived in the Northeast. You just need to use it everyday for 20 minutes.
When I saw my doctor last month she highly suggested that I get a SAD light this year. She uses one and she said she bought it at Costco so I might check that out soon.
