i think i'm having some nose hair issues. i've never noticed them before. i have a pair of cuticle scissors i don't use, so i guess those will be relegated to nose hair trimming.
i have cable now so i can watch dexter and homeland tonight!
this day has gone by too quickly. it should be noon right now, not five.
I desperately need to go to the grocery store but I'm having a menu planning block....or maybe I'm too caught up in 8 hours worth of Lifetime Movie Network. same same.
I've been craving apples. I don't know what they're called, but my h gets them from an orchard and they are humongous. They are a little bit sour, but not as sour as a granny smith, and crunchy, and just yum.
Edith is bound and determined that I am dressing up as a witch for Halloween, so I bought a witch hat.
I kind of want to just wear it around the house because it makes me feel fancy.
Both of our children are sleeping. It happened randomly, and H and I are taking full advantage by being lazy poops. It's awesome.
I talked to my niece for like a half hour today. She said she is looking at colleges in the Chicago/Northern Illinois region, so she can be closer to us - especially her cousins. I would LOVE THAT!!!
Lucy is lying in a sunbeam and I just want to snuggle her belly.
Yesterday we went ot Oktoberfest and had a blast. Ahhh grown up events I have missed you.
H is gone once again for a work event. I am tired of single parenting this week. As a result jack has gotten to eat way to many snacks and watch too much tv. We did decorate for Hween so that was preductive.
I have started getting strict with Leo's sleep. Consistant naps in his crib, making fuss it out more etc. it has made such a difference today. It is hard being a hard ass, but the benefits are worth it. Maybe just maybe he will sttn soon. :-)
L just went into the bathroom in our hotel room to go to the bathroom. she shooed us out the door and then ordered us to shut it behind her. then as we sat in the little living area (we got a mini suite), we hear her say "GOOD. it's nice and quiet in here!"
I'm researching locations to host my sister's baby shower. A winery is a bad choice for a baby shower, right? This winery would be perfect.
the winery near me has a very nice collection of sparkling grape juices they make on site? i think it would be nice
Maybe I will pitch the idea to my sister. Also, I don't know the history of why you're leaving but it sounds like a damn good thing that you're getting out of there.

If they have sparkling juices I see no issue.
Now making the only dessert full of alcohol, that's a bad idea. (My aunt did that for my sister's baby shower.) I had a WTH face because I have epilepsy and so couldn't have dessert either. Dessert is the best part of baby showers, come on now. Obviously I'm still ticked off because that was the second time said aunt poisoned (for me) the only dessert available with alcohol. I've had epilepsy since I was 12 and she is fully aware of it because we're a very close-nit extended family. /rant over
I guess my random is I hope my aunt doesn't poison the dessert this Thanksgiving. :@
also, i posted about it on my very closed, very private, very hidden tennessee clergy spouses' facebook page. it's all women that i know or have at least met. it's supposed to be a confidential place for support and stuff, but now i'm regretting it because i'm afraid they're all going to run to their husbands and be all, "jesus! pastorfrkls can't keep his shit together up there!!"

I'm at the park in colorado supervising a visit between the girls and H's wack-ass mother, whom we cut out of out of our lives for the most part 4 years ago. So weird. They are having fun but I'm kind of weirded out by the whole thing.
-Frkls--- That congregation proved themselves why you NEED to get away from there.
--I am drinking the ML baby-water like it's an oasis in the desert. I want a baby bad.
--Our BFFs had their first baby (a boy) this afternoon. This is not helping my feelings any.
--My H has been playing video games this afternoon; he's wearing his headphones so it's super quiet in the house. EXCEPT for his heavy breathing whenever he's in the middle of a shoot out or something in the game. I kinda want to punch him, but since I'm not listening to the video game like it's WWIII in here, I feel like I have to let it go.
--We are going on a Disney Cruise with my in-laws for New Years. (Shut up! I love my in-laws. They are treating. I love Disney. I'm excited). One night will be pirate night...I need to find a pirate costume this month so I am prepared for this.
Also, omg I don't think I could love Smitten Kitchen's tomato soup any more if I married it. Only I use less chicken broth, and add smoked paprika. /heaven

H broke the electricity earlier. he was fiddling with the fan for the fireplace and somehow blew something on the breaker. There was a good period of time where I thought we would freeze tonight.
We're having leftovers tonight, but I really want pizza.

i'm in a pissy mood. i tried to clean today and had to take tons of breaks bc my lower back was/is killing me from bending over so much. it took me entirely too long to do the master bathroom. i have a love hate relationship with our enormous bathroom.
I am counting down the minutes until H gets home. then I am going to the basement and sitting with a beer in peace and quiet for a half hour. I have not been alone all day.
This two kid parenting is for the birds. I can't even complete a thought without the other one demanding something from me.
My house is a disaster and I don't have time to even get a cleaning lady set up. And every weekend we have people over. ENOUGH-I want to go back to my introverted ways so I don't have to company clean all the time. Next weekend we are having people over to watch the game and then the next my parents are coming. Maybe after those two weekends we can finally get a peaceful weekend.

It didn't get above 55 yesterday or today. It was amazing. But it'll be back to near 70 tomorrow and 80 after that for about the next 10 days. I wish it'd just stay cold!
I'm making this flat bread :http://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/no-knead-garlic-cheese-flatbread-recipe sans cheese. It smells so amazing right now.
