*ok, first I just want to preface this by saying that while this request seems silly, I do also really love horses, took lessons for several years and someday hope that my sister and I can get back into it when we have more time! (my plan is that she marries rich...) not sure if it matters, just wanted to throw it out there that it's not totally out of the blue*
I want to get some black riding pants to wear, hopefully soon, with some new boots. Why you may ask? well, a) it's different (I tend to like 'authentic' things), b) this is instead of black jeans, leggings, jeggings etc. c) maybe someday they will get actual use
so where would you recommend buying them (online)? anything I should know about sizing? I was also half thinking about getting real black riding boots as well, thoughts? (I'm also trying to get in on the cognac boot trend, I just have short legs and having a hard time finding ones I like that don't hit my knees) thanks!
amanda, since you wanted to bump this...i have an official mod button that says bump. i'm going to try it after it gets buried a few more times and see what happens

Amanda- for pants online try stateline tack or Dover saddlery. They go by waist size. I don't usually wear black but I like "the tailored sportsman" for brand.
For bootsI would recommend going to get fitted to see what fits first. I go to Olsons tack store in Bellevue. They are really knowledgeable and nice! I wear Ariats or Mountain horse, buy i really need to get a custom pair because of my size. Dress boots are without laces, field boots have laces.
