It totally is...but I saw a super cute casual outfit on Pinterest recently and I think I need them. My work is super casual and I can pull this off for sure.

I have the L.L. Bean slippers like this and while I'll wear them out of the house (like to the mailbox or hanging with the neighbors) I certainly wouldn't wear them "out".

I have big objections to people wearing slippers with casual outfits. Seriously, people already wear ratty sweatpants in public...must they wear slippers too?? At bare minimum just wear an Ugg. (The actually Uggs...not the slippers!).
I will definitely be giving the side eye to anyone wearing these as an actual shoe.

Well, of course - mailbox doesn't count. Dog walking also okay. Running errands...no!
The thought of wearing these to the office, even my casual office, is not okay. I'm firm on this.

In most offices, I'd totally agree. Mine is the exception for sure. But only with the right outfit. I wish I could find that Pinterest photo...I didn't pin it.

I am really having a hard time believing that there's an office where slippers would be okay and I can't for the life of me come up with what would be the "right" outfit for wearing these, especially to work. Maybe your boss would allow it, but I still just don't think it's a good look.
I have these in pink from LLBean, and while they have a rubber sole I can only see them going with my pj pants. In the comfort of my own living room.
I think I'm starting a war on the moccasin slipper as a shoe.

Yah, I know it's weird to think of. We're one of a kind. And it couldn't be just any slipper for sure. We have all KINDS of crazy styles here (think dudes with blue mohawk hair that wear tight pink jeans and a cheetah boyfriend sweater. Yes, all that on one person but for some reason, he pulls it of and no one blinks twice). But I think the moccassin slipper could be pulled off well with the right outfit and on chilly fall/winter days.
ETA: IT's not that my work environment is super casual but more that we're "anything goes" and the more out-of-the-fashion box you are? The cooler you are. Not that wearing slippers would make anyone cool...but just saying that we're not the norm.

Oh, no war against you...war against the shoe. Excuse me, slipper!
I actually have less of a problem with a blue mohawk in the office than the slipper shoe. In fact, the colored hair and the rest of it doesn't bother me at all if that's the type of atmosphere.
Now, if he wore a slipper with that outfit, I'd give him the stink eye.

Hahaha! I'll keep you posted if I A: see these at my work and B: ever wear these to work!

I see these on the teenage girls standing waiting for the bus...paired with skinny jeans and plaid flannels...they look cute, but not a look for any office environment, no matter how casual. Really, not a look for anyone out of high school, unless you are just walking the dog or something.

I have these and I love them because they are so comfy and warm. But yeah, I just wear them for my walk from the parking lot to the office, or when I leave the gym. Or by the end of the day and my feet start to hurt from my heels and I'm just sitting behind my desk I used to wear them as shoes when I was in college. But they were pretty popular at my school so it wasn't weird.

I should add, when I put them back on at the office it's because everyone else has left and nobody will see my feet at all because I'm sitting at my desk. It's seriously like heaven putting these on after wearing heels allll day. You should try it Kare You might change your mind!
I would never wear them as part of a work outfit though, not even on a casual day.

I wear my Ugg Dakota slippers, as well as my fleece-lined Minnetonka moccasins in public. I admit it. I don't wear them to work in an office environment, however, and if I did work in an office, I still would not do so. But my wardrobe is casual, and these are comfy for the fall and winter for me.
I have UGG Dakota Slippers and side-eye people I see in public with them on. I like a mocassin, but if it is lined with fur it is a slipper.
Ditto all of this. The only time I wear my Ugg mocs outside is walking the dog or taking out the trash; it is not made for public appearances otherwise!
I'm a high school teacher, and I wore some like that on the "Sweats and Slippers" day during Homecoming Spirit Week. I had the same argument each period, with kids who claimed that I was wearing shoes, not slippers. Nope - slippers.

LOL my Ugg Dakotas should be waiting for me at my doorsteps when I get home tonight! Yes, I am aware they are slippers. Yes, I am planning to wear them outside.
But then again I am not much for super fashion. I am for comfort. You're thinking what the heck I'm doing on this board, huh? LOL
I'm a stay at home mom, well I work per diem and I like to be comfortable. I am not saying I'll be caught wearing these to work, or every day and everywhere but yes, to a playdate with a friend I don't see why not. I see them as equal with people wearing flip flops all the time. ;D

I have those exact ones and they are slippers. I will occasionally wear them to run to the store but we live in a little town I don't intentionally wear them out.
